Something to take note of is Vassago’s last line as he was falling: "That has to be the KoB’s ‘Lightning Flash’!" He recognized Asuna from her time as Vice-Commander of the Knights of the Blood in Aincrad which means that he is another SAO survivor.

So, seeing the comment about Vassago in SAO, I just want to make it clear.
He IS an SAO survivor. In Aincrad, you DID get to see him as some sort of mastermind, but nothing more.

Also, some people confused KoB for Bullets of Bullets in Gun Gale.
KoB is Knights of the Blood Oath, the Heathcliff/Kayaba’s guild, and Asuna is only known as the Lightning Flash in SAO.

Sheyta and Ishkan are kind of fan favorite characters for a reason. Asuna doesn’t kill a lot of people, she created a ravine between the pugilists and the army where Alice, Renly and Bercouli are.

Fun fact: some time before this episode came out, the mobile game, Alicization Rising Steel, suddenly had a gacha banner up for Asuna (Goddess Stacia) without any prior notice. That alone already foreshadowed that on this episode, Asuna would definitely come out lol.
