   Nate I own the first us box set that was released with both movies, got into the rebuilds still mad we didn’t get q and 3.33 but I got the sub title ones.

   Oooooh boy this show!
   Ok here’s a few tips.
   1. Since you’re watching the dub, you’re gonna need to be forgiving of the voice acting until Asuka’s appearance, when the actors have gotten into their roles.
   2. There will be no shortage of teenage agnst turned up to eleven. Keep that in mind.
   3. It is possible to replace the last 2 episodes with the movie: End of Evangelion. If you want to watch those episodes anyway I still highly reccomend watching it.
   4. Don’t expect shinji to grow some balls. As this is a deconstruction show, he doesn’t get mentally better. He gets worse. By the lord he gets worse!
   5. Above all else remember this: this show is mentally unstable

   To be fair, while the dub is pretty bad for the first few episodes. It gets a lot better, like one of the better dubs in anime in my opinion. EoE is hit and miss, although the main cast carries over from the series and they’re all excellent. Rebuild has a pretty good dub, although only a few dub actors return. But I would suggest giving the dub a second chance, if not with an early episode, than with a later episode, as they all do get a lot better.

    I always thought that Shinji was a whinny little brat. Maybe that was just the version I watched. But nope. You should watch the Persona 4 anime. I think you’d get a kick out of it.

    I prefer the movies, specifically the second where Shinji got a backbone and was a badass. The third movie had some pretty cool moments but unfortuntatly Shinji lost his backbone. Disappointing, if somewhat understandable.

    Can’t wait for this series to hit Netflix in 2019 hopefully close to my birthday in April I’ve been wanting to see this since I got into anime growing up

    I prefer the Canadian rating system, a nipple is PG, heavy swearing is 14+, blowing some ones head off with a shotgun is M, and 18+ is mostly porn. Everyone on Earth has a pair of nipples and can see them by looking down. Not every one on Earth has seen some one get there head blown off. Which one do you think kids should be able to see?
    I remember Chappie from 2015, it was rated 14+ in Canada for the swearing and some violence but nothing graphic. In the states Chappie was rated 18+ because in one scene a unnamed background character is looking at porn on a small screen for 3 seconds, while the main cast are doing things in the foreground walking though that room. THAT’S IT!? 1 set of boobs for maybe 3 second taking up less that 1/20th of the screen, that may not even be visible on anything smaller than a movie theater is 18+.

    One thing id be curious to see the reaction to is a video called "The genious of Sao abriged" wich is really cool how they go in depth into the characters and plot and how everything is motivated in this abriged, wich was pretty cool and pointed out details i never noticed in the show

    English dub is not bad they perfectly follow the characters and are still iconic hence them using the same va’s to this day and even the director Hideki Ano approving of the dub

    (One of the Few Series I never saw Dubbed → They started Airing it here in Portugal ?? in Japanese with Portuguese Subs when I was a teenager but were *Forced to Stop* – parents complaining? – after a _certain episode_ …)

    That Shinji Scream was *SO BAD* Voice Acting and/or Direction…

    You guys should give the *Japanese Dub* a whirl in _Your Own Time_ (No _Reaction_ Needed) of the 1st 2 episodes just to compare them and see what was changed – mainly, the feeling of the Characters and Their Personalities are the common parts that get *"Lost in Translation"* / Badly Adapted… (Sometimes, even the Characters’ Drive/Motivations)

    *Thanks for the Reaction* (even though it was less than 5 minutes of Footage) and it’s a shame that there was not much time for a proper *Review/Discussion* of the Episode before You were interrupted by _something_ (that we are totally oblivious of – we didn’t even hear anything out of the ordinary) …

    Damn you guys, I made a Promise to God that I would only watch this one more time. This was my second anime (that I knew was anime, i.e. not robotech, dbz). But yeah this’ll be a fun ride.
