Out of the Vault: Episode 56
So, we finally return to the forgotten new group of films in the Out of the Vault family! Today we look at one of the very first Ghibli films to make to theaters in the United States. Before Spirited Away got the praise that made Studio Ghibli a house hold name in the west…there was Princess Mononoke.

I think Princess Mononoke would have gotten Oscar if it was available back then like Spirited Away

I’ve never seen this one, but after watching this review, along with my other YouTube friend the Animated Heroine’s review of this film a while back, as well as hearing good things about this one from others, I now want to see this one. It does sound really interesting. Anyway, I’ve noticed that starting around this year, you’ve listed your Out Of The Vault episodes on Sundays. Anyway, I was wondering if there was a specific reason for that. If not, that’s cool. I was just curious either way. Well, great review yet again, even though interestingly enough, I’d have thought maybe you’d go from reviewing The Little Mermaid last month to maybe the Japanese version of that story with Ponyo this month (as of course Ponyo is of course Studio Ghibli). Still, reviewing Princess Mononoke works too. Great job again!

I love Princess Mononoke (and all of the Ghibli movies I have seen) and you have done a great in depth review of this wonderful movie. Do you have reviews of other Ghibli movies?
