The girl Otoka reminds me of Joker (2019). Mainly because it seems like she suffers from an illness (That causes you to laugh instead of any other emotion. That illness is called pseudobulbar affect.) Someone even said she ate a Smile Fruit (?)…. don’t know how true that is but we will see. She seems interesting.

Heads-up: Oiran (花魁) means Courtesan, or a prostitute, especially one with wealthy or upper-class clients. For some reason, the subtitles doesn’t translate that directly.
