Madhouse is lit but the one and only studio I trust with adapting manga/webcomics is Studio Bones. Mob Psycho 100 IS THE SHIT. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is by them too, the faithful adaptation of the manga and all that.

there was a specific director who esentially called in all the favours he had with other animators and pools his resourses and helped helm the first season into the stratosphere – the director Shingo Natsume not madhouse was the reason the first season was so good and his desire to work on a different project rather then work on the second season lead to the transferal of show from one studio to another – Shingo Natsume decided hed rather work on a smaller more niche project which is fine but without his alot of the flare, the style and the craftsmen ship is lost — think of indiana jones – same script but instead of steven Spielberg its a disney film directed by some nobody – thats the best comparison i can think of

Not the best subtitles on this video in particular.. though they *did* get "Caped Baldy" right. The ones I had said "Bald Cape".
But it looks like the animation quality is starting to get better! This is the one show that I refuse to read the manga on, because I just feel like still images won’t do the fights justice.

This translation isn’t the best. The serious sideways jumps want just sideways jumps. Saitama was moving forward while doing the sideways jumps and went right through sonic. So he basically just bumped into him at super speed.

Super sad story when loosers who miss after credits try to argument they actually watched it and point out what they said in discussion was related to what they supposedly seen. Nahid what happened was Madhouse were tied down schedule wise, so the producers decided to go somewhere else. Also Madhouse had a pretty moderate budget when making the first season.
It’s not about the money it’s how you use it.

In terms of animation-
Garou taking on the heroes was fine, but just mediocre in the scenes he was moving
Blizzard vs Saitama was just really eh, not very bad but leaves a lot to be desired since its artwork is not up to par with the manga or even close with its animations and framing being lackluster
Genos vs Sonic was def the highlight of the episode and was badass with the scenes in which Genos was moving being up to par with season 1 imo. Would have preferred less still shots like pics of his punches, but good nonetheless.
Amai Mask’s intro had amazing animation like Genos bs Sonic.
Saitama’s serious sideways steps were also eh, the animation lacked the power nor the artwork that was present in the manga.
Final Thoughts: A step up from ep 1 becuz they displayed some genuinely great animation here. I really hate the inconsistent and annoying zooming in and fast pace, but if they fix their camera work and pace and keep the brilliant animation displayed like in Genos vs Sonic, the season would be great.

Madhouse does second seasons occasionally but they are rather rare. I don’t really know why.
And first season wasn’t so good only because of Madhouse. Apparently the director of the first season called a lot of favors for those awesome animations so they hired more people without spending as much as they would.
