If there are devil fruit that are close to what happened in Naruto, they are broken big time! A water user, it seems like Dragon could be a wind user, and the devil fruit have similar types like fire and magma. Big Mom can take souls and create souls out of others life forces. Brook can take souls and take control over them. Sine Perona can do things with ghost you might be right. I do think that Lord Oden could have had a retainer that looked like him and died in his place. This would allow him to hideout will his retainers got help to get Wano back under his control.

ok maybe my theory is completely bizzare but in chapter 910 when luffy and others are entering wano the weather and clouds changed all of a sudden and then we saw thousand sunny entering whirlpool, and the fact that wano is the only place completely cut off from world government and marines…so my theory is that wano’s time works completely different the world outside and momonosuke of present time is really dead…and momonosuke of PAST came asking for luffy’s help because the graves are pretty old for something created recently
