Yes, but why? If a 14-year-old goes through traumatizing experiences (including near death, with all the accompaning pains — remember the "heart massage"?), being ‘the hero’ looks a lot less attractive. They start thinking, ‘why me?…’ and finding ways to avoid the task.
We’re so used to young boys simply jumping up and raising to the challenge that we don’t realize how rare this actually is — no matter how much potential for bad-assery said young boy actually has.

Guys, for fuck’s sake, stop giving hints. It’s only episode 6. Let him speculate based on the information he’s given. I’d much rather watch him gradually revise his thoughts as the show presents more information than for answers in the form of not-nearly-as-subtle-as-you-think-you’re-being hints to be handed to him by some youtube dorks who can’t keep their mouths shut.

The fifth angel ramiel’s design and sound came from a show called "Return of Ultraman". In the show, There’s a monster called "Pride-ma" and it looks similar to ramiel(fifth angel).

那新一當時，那場櫻花徽章解謎秀，只是阿明把看到的講的跟推理一樣，虧馬可那時還在驚嘆，這男生好厲害，把當時的感動還他啦！算了啦阿明就是想在馬可面前耍帥嘛！況且他是替被欺負的胡佛解圍，少笨了當時胡佛隔著窗戶看到的，只有約翰因東西被搶而露出困擾的表情，還有排擠這句話而已，所以當時那舉動，可說是約翰貨真價實，緊張解謎秀呢！將中間的推理過程全都省略，僅以出發點及結論示人，儘管這樣顯得不入流，效果卻足以令人大吃一驚，因為這本書源哥才看到一半嘛！跟他說過今天要去新的幼稚園了吧？那種地方不去也沒關係吧？而且源哥在暗處看書，請問黃牙還有打算滾出影壇嗎？你們怎麼稱呼彼此的，一起拍張照吧？黃牙明明沒戴帽子和太陽眼鏡啊？戴那種派頭十足的帽子和墨鏡是有點，快點搶走柯尼活動的風采，那柯尼把徽章別在胸前就趕快閃人啦！再來想請教你有關食物過敏的問題，有沒有什麼食物是尤米爾不能吃的，像雞蛋蕎麥和起司，原來是大家排在一起睡午覺，還以為是電影裡常看到的停屍間咧，這排是蘋果班這排是鬱金香班，記得尤米爾因徽章被搶走而困擾，只有他的衣服上沒有櫻花徽章，可見是被搶走了，是之前阿明用來摺星星，好用來裝飾聖誕樹的摺法，把摺好的色紙筆直的斜剪下去，再多彎個角剪就變成櫻花了，馬可是因為徽章被搶才再做一個新的，可惡好想問他胡佛推理的對不對，福爾摩斯說過吧？將中間的推理過程全都省略，僅以出發點及結論示人!

So, the Angels keep attacking NERV because they want to get to Lilith that’s being kept in there…we do know by now that it’s a fight between Humans and Angels. It’s just instinct. And Lilith created Humans, that’s why…
But they also tried to get Adam’s embryo form…another natural act…

"Shinji will be the sharpshooter! And another person will be… and another person will be…". Yes, that’s what you’d expect to see in a normal Meccha show: people grow into the roles more appropriate for their personalities, and form a team.
But this is Evangelion, where team forming is as difficult as it is in the real world. Rei isn’t all "there", so to speak; and Shinji is insecure and very ambivalent about what he’s doing. If you think the Third Child will make things better… wait till Episode 8.
This show is (among other things) about why humans so often fail to live up to their best potential.
