read about Lilith is absolutly not a spoiler…
in ancient stories there was 2 different paths that humanity started
1 as we know adam created and felt lonely so god create Eve and this story is well known
the second story say god created both human male and female together… and they called Adam and Lilith
they were aqual although Adam wanted he’s place as an alpha lilith didn’t gave it to him
she wanted to be alpha just like him
in the end lilith left Adam and when she did so she met Asmodeus (the demon king. some say the devil) she decide to stay with him and became the mother of all the demons
i’ll summerise the next parts of the story
adam was lonely… cried to god… god asked lilith to come back… lilith said she can’t since she belong to other man and its against god law for a woman who married to have afair
so god send 3 angels to make contract with her
and god create Eve then from Adam rib so he wont get lonely

As several people have already pointed out, this would all make moderately more sense had you watched the DC versions. Even if it’s "just a few minutes of extra content", those few minutes contain a ton of exposition that is not given otherwise. I’m surprised you read through the parts in the synopsis describing the Adam embryo grafted to Gendo’s hand and Kaworu’s entire conversion with Seele while standing in the middle of a lake without acknowledging in any way that you hadn’t actually seen those scenes.

what in kawaru contro was the 2nd angel lilith (the creation angel) and not being able to merge with adan (the angel of destruction) kaworu decided to die giving to choose humans that if they wanted to evolve or not

A very important note: EP 25 and 26 happened within the movie in actual timeline. It’s not (EP 25 26 -> movie) but (movie start ->25 -> 26 -> movie ends)
Again, you should watch the way it is presented 25 -> 26 -> movie but just keep in mind of the order of things happen. It would be less confusing.

End of Evangelion after the series, and the last two episodes really, are real mindfucks beyond the level of Madoka Rebellion. The Rebuild of Evangelion movies compliment the series because of the differences in characters, and may not be just a re-adaptation of the story. Watch them for the awesome animation too. Looking forward to minds being blown here.

until ep 24
Adam (white moon in south pole) →he made angels (dont know why). kaji stole from zeele and gave Restoration body of adam to gendo in ep 8. soul of adam got human body is kaoru. eva 0 and 2 are adam copy in ep 22. kaoru could synchronize eva 2 bcz eva 2 made from adam copy, kaoru has soul of adam, so like same cell in ep 24.
Lilith (black moon under tokyo 3 ) → she made human or animal or all creature except angel. soul of Lilith got human body is rei in ep 23. eva 1 is Lilith copy. lilith didnt have lower body in ep 15 because they used for eva 1.its one of the reason eva 1 special and stronger than others. kaoru misunderstood adam , lilith at first in this ep 24 .
Summary until ep 1~24 is like that. other secret, u can find out 25,26 or movies or DC.

"Put some clothes on, Asuka, you’re making everybody nervous…" It is considered good in Japan to take off your clothes when you’re going to commit suicide. You know, so as not to create a mess. Supposedly the clothes should be neatly folded beside the body. That’s what Asuka did.

This episode indeed lacks essential information, and context (what did Kaoru mean by saying: ‘wait: it’s not Adam! It’s Lilith!’ — and Kaiji had told Misato it was Adam…). This is not such a neatly tied story as, say, Madoka Magica… and after you’re done, I suggest reading up on it…
This is, to me, one of the most emotional episodes. This is what caused Shinji’s final downward spiral, as portrayed in the movie (End of Evangelion), for the external world, and the final episodes (25-26), for the internal world. And his final destiny.
And here is whether we ask the question: if Shinji piloted the EVA to be loved, or even to have some kind of meaningful contact with people… did it work? Is it worthwhile? If you remember the hedgehog dilemma: can it ever be overcome?…

Lilith is not a recreation of Adam. It’s not explained super well in the main story unless you really comb it with a toothpick so you very easily miss it especially on the first watch. There are plenty of overview explanations to the mythology of the Evangelion universe available. I would recommend to briefly look them over, as I don’ t think most of them spoil anything.
(By the way, yes, in case you missed it, the white creature in the Terminal Dogma is in fact Lilith, not Adam which is what everyone refers to for most of the show.)
No, you aren’t really expected to know what’s happening. You technically could but it’s an unreasonable expectation to be able to catch everything if you’re watching this the first time on your own (though the Director’s Cut versions again would’ve helped heh).

I can understand your confusion. Evangelion kind of requires watching the series a couple of times to understand what’s going on. Episode 25 and 26 don’t really add anything to the story though, but I do find them an interesting look at some of the main characters thoughts. End of Evangelion takes place right after episode 24 and will answer some more questions that the series didn’t answer, be prepared for a lot of confusion and lots of visuals and more that are unlike anything the series had to offer.

First time I watched this episode I had the same reaction of WTFIGO (and in some cases I still have questions). I think that’s just the style Evangelion goes for. It doesn’t hold the audiences’ hands and, instead tries to make them think and rewatch to get a fuller understanding. IMO, that’s what makes it so memorable, yet so frustrating at the same time.

This is the most NGE episode to me. It’s full of contingency, random terms, emo, and BL. It’s a masterpiece.
I like this episode even more than EoE.
I recommend reading the original script of this ep after finishing the series. Some fan adapted it into a sound novel.

I haven’t understand this anime fully. And I watched it way back. I’m still trying to understand it. This is what makes it a good anime for me, since it makes you want to learn or know what’s going on. It keeps you hooked into watching it all the way. Saying all that and still does not understand the anime fully. lol

Note also that the episode preview at the end doesn’t really refer to Episode 25, but actually to the first half of the movie End of Evangelion (or Episode 25′). What actuallly happens in Episode 25 has nothing to do with that preview.
