The thing to keep in mind about anime, is that it’s not a genre. It’s a visual style. There are anime fantasies, sci-fi, space opera, teen drama, horror, thrillers, and even porn. You shouldn’t have any built in expectations of what “anime is,” because it can be anything.

This is definitely one of my favorite Ghibli movies!! It’s very magical and whimsical like a lot of the Ghibli movies are! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
