Edit: In the end of the movie, Totoro has a shadow, and plus they’re on a branch, facing the sun, with nothing else behind them, and the shadows wouldn’t be there. They would be on the ground.

I don’t get vvhy there is a need for these types of storys if there is an actual statement from the studio debunking it. If that vvas the true meaning they vvent for, vvhy vvould they lie about it? VVouldn’t they be happy someone got it? Also there is a video about Mei and the kittenbus. A sequel (13 minute movie) vvhere she plays vvith a tiny catbus after her mother got home from the hospital.
