Why wouldn’t you just pick new match ups on the second tier of the brackets? Why does the person you picked in the first bracket make you locked into them for the next one? I think it just makes more sense to pick new winners in the second round and so on.

Wait, did you guy really not get what happened? Mei did not wan’t to win the fight at all, she didn’t "end up" ou of bounds, she steped out because she had already finished what she wanted to do, wich is showing of her "babies".
And sincerely, versus unexperienced Iida, Mei would probably have won, if she at least tried.

I love the battle between Mei and Iida. Any other anime woulda had her give her armor to Iida to sabotage him, but they ended up being much more creative with it. Surprised me big time
