The explanation of Deku’s punch not hurting himself because of Nomu’s quirk doesn’t totally hold up imo because Deku doesn’t seem to need to hit anything in order to damage himself using one for all at this point in the show. When he flicks his fingers or throws a ball, it’s not as if he’s hitting anything solid and if he could punch the air with OFA full powered without injuring himself, then he could just do that all the time to train in order to master the quirk or use it in combat without making direct contact, but he obviously can’t do that.

I love his "I’m here". That’s what All Might is all about. I love seeing the kids crying with relief when they see him. That’s why he does what he does. The heartbreaking thing about this time is that he didn’t smile. He was furious, and thus we were treated to one of the best fights of the show.

I love All Might in this, he’s told the guy he’s punching is immune to being punched and he’s like "Yeah, what about it?" and just punches harder. All Might punched a guy who’s immune to punching into submission.
