logcially Endeavour would be seen as in the right by authorities for putting Shotos mom in the hospital, its scary to think but she burned shotos face and Evdeavour being a top hero would have the power and clout to get the paperwork through and get his wife in an actual hospital – its really fucked up idk what to think because she did physically scare her son which would be enough reason to put her in a mental institution and the authorities would not have know of the context of the situation – endeavour used the attack as pretext to put her away and its just so complicated and so fucked idk what to think ya know?

Jeez, it’s not like the repercussions of a lifetime’s worth of abuse and trauma is just gonna be wiped away after some kind words… Even if Todoroki used his fire in that one moment, it doesn’t mean he’s over the whole issue. This is realistic character development and growth, for which is really appreciate the series.

look I like to treat every character in a fair way, and to be honest, and don’t like bakugo. But he is one hell of a fighter and in this battle he totally deserved to win, but as a todoroki fan, I want to defend him, he didn’t use his left side in the battle, that’s 1, imagine if he trained his full power from the start not just his ice, but his fire too, if he had really trained his both sides from the beginning I don’t think anyone would’ve been at his level, and of course if he had used his ice and fire at the same time from the start, not only bakugo but nobody would’ve defeated him, I like him because of his personality, his quirk everything and his past made me like him even more, not because it was dark, cuz it’s so creative. This fight wasn’t even fair, because todoroki threw it out.

I love bakugo. He is my favorite character in anime of all time. I just agree with every word that comes out of his mouth. I hate to lose. Im aiming to win and be the best. I wanna show everyone what Im made of. If I lose I will always be upset and wont control my anger. I hate when pepole are worried about me and care for me. And most of all, I love his courage. He is such a complete character. I am so sad that he wont be the #1 hero in the future, but for a lot of pepole he is #1.

What this reaction and comment section proves too me.
1. The lack of understanding people have of victims of child abuse and how f<(ked up Todoroki’s mindset has become thanks to the hunchback child abuser. When Todoroki used his flames in that round he remembered all the pain his father inflicted with them. He never blamed his mother for what she did. Believing the flames are what caused her, in his mind, to burn him (or to him disowning him).
2. The lack of understanding of how Bakugou works as a person. He was egging Todoroki on, in a Bakugou way, to help him get over his past considering he smiled when Izuku called out too Todoroki in an attempt to help him.
Even though Bakugou is strong, he’s not anywhere near the strongest. None of the students are yet. They aren’t full grown, they all have a lot to go through rn. So it’s impossible to say who’s weaker or stronger considering it’s more than just power that makes someone strong.

in future, once all three of them have fully mastered their quirk, the strongest probably is deku > todoroki > bakugou (this is based on quirk)
but right now, bakugou is the strongest followed by todoroki and then deku. why?
1. deku can not use his full power right now, so he probably will lose to most people in the tournament bracket. so that’s why he’s the weakest among the three of them.
2. todoroki also cannot use his full power ( only ice, not the fire) due to his trauma. with the ice he is still strong but bakugou has a lot under his sleeve and bakugou was able to destroy todoroki ice.
if people says todoroki will win if he use his full power, then what if deku go 100% smash at point blank. He will also probably win.
So, as of now unfortunately bakugou is the strongest. also this is just my two cent regarding their strength, quirk wise.

I don’t get why you guys would think Todoroki would be over not using his fire by this point. It’s literally been 30 minutes to an hour since the fight with Deku. Immediately after that match, he was already regretting using his fire. His fight with Izuku hasn’t resolved his issues with his dad, which is the real reason he doesn’t use his other side. Shoto has a lot of growing to do at this point in the show, that he hasn’t had time for yet.

Boku no hero is known to turn down traditional adventure anime tropes, for reference naruto and how he persuaded everybody by just talking (healed gaara of his hate in like one episode), this feels more realistic, todoroki and his mother were abusrd for years, nobody but the one who experienced it can understand that , we cant ask him to inmediatly be better.
Thats also why i liked this fight so much, bakugo and todoroki are polar opposites, on one hand u have the self centered, entitled and privileged man who is used to having everything (hell, even he is fucking trash his family still is supportive and loving) and todoroki being the injured genius whose potential was affected by life being constantly unfair.
