Yeah such a good point you make at the end. What makes this show special to me is how it takes the characters on fun creative paths instead of going the cliché route. It makes things feel more real kind of. Like there are many people like Endeavor in real life who maybe are good at their jobs or very successful but completely horrible people in their personal life.

Yass the story of the Todoroki family is finally here. I honestly think it is one of the best things in the manga/anime, of all the chapters that there are every time one is dedicated to the story of Shoto and his family I am delighted because It really is a very well done story and yes, we all hated Endeavor at the time because there is no reason to have sympathy with a domestic abuser like…anyway I really enjoyed your reaction, this is just the beginning of the great things that season 2 and the rest that follow bring us.

Not only Endeavor cut off Todoroki from having friends, those kids shown playing outside are his siblings. He isolated him completely from his own family 🙁

This episode I feel like the dub is better than the sub mainly the dramatic effect mainly the lines I fell are more smooth
I do recommend watching the dub after the sub
For me I watched the dub before the sub until I went on to the next episode

I saw your message about having more issues with copyright and yeah, this episode in particular is one that gives reactors a lot of trouble. I’ll never understand the assumption all these companies make that someone is going to a reaction video, where the episode is cut up and spoken over, _instead_ of watching the show. Obviously people are doing both and they’re watching the show first. And I know that’s the assumption they’re making because there’s specific episodes that they target for claims.

When I first read the manga and even during the anime.. I said..
(Don’t worry, no spoilers here.)
*Dude! Just double tap or triple tap him and just end it!! Blitzkrieg on his ass!*
But, no. He wants to go and see what Todoroki can do at full power, while he uses super flicks one at a time, giving him the opportunity to resist. -_- Which is fine.. cuz then we could actually see the limits of what Todoroki can do. But, maaan.. it would’ve been nice if Midoriya actually went No Mercy Mode and actually man up to the words he said..
"Zenryoku de kakatte koi!"
But, yea. It’s Todoroki’s spotlight. So, that’s fine. XD

The "I hate Endevor" is like 90% of the Community after watching this episode.
I don’t have any friends that liked Endeavor at that point.
I have high sense of Justice, so its really hard for me to forgive things like that.
At same time we have Deku, Thats the one Who knows whats a hero is, Hero is saving and sacrificing and not letting people down when you see something wrong.
You can think that Deku Had no chance against Todoroki, but You have to think that Deku puts his limits and Also controlled his Quirk to don’t hit too bad Todoroki as well.
Lets see next episodes now 🙂

And here we finally are!!! One of.. 2? 3? of the most rewatched episodes of Boku no Hero. I love this episode so much as it does a lot for the series. He shows what kind of hero Deku is trying to be. Even during the duel, his focus was to help Todoroki overcome his struggles. Really shows why All Might (intentional or not) was "hero" in eyes of people, especially young ones. Explains us what actually happend in Todoroki home, domestic abuse and all… The fight itself and godly animation (im still getting those but i remember first time watching and jumping from chills when Todoroki was lifting his hand up in his final attack). And finally the episode itself. Whole scene was made so damn well, the cutouts, the quotes, flashbacks, Deku’s determination and Todoroki’s struggle – everything was made so god damn well making my cry every time i hear Todoroki’s mom last time saying Natte iin da yo! (Its OK for you to become one!) (the way she says it also says it a lot that even as a child he was already having problem of being his son and probably hated his fire side as the quirk itself)
