What I found interesting abut Megalobox is that no narrative insight or progress is made with Joe at all. First, we dont even know his real name, second, we dont know his back story, and half the time we dont know what is really on his mind. Some people dont like this, which is understandable because what kind of MC is this, but I didnt mind it because everyone else around him grew. Looking back, through, Joes actions, everyone made progress one way or another becoming a better person at the end of the series. To some extent, Joe didnt really matter and almost as if Joe was a main character Mcguffin.
