It is true that most the the voice actresses do not have much voice acting experience since most of them have roles that are from stage/theatre plays. Moreover, this originally was a theatre production that was adapted into an anime. Even so, they have really amazing singing voices

We Utena now. I came into this show completely blind and was WTF’d when Karen went down the elevator. Now I am even more interested in this show. Especially as the director worked with Ikuhara (that I found out later on)
Please, please, don’t use HiDive subs. (or horriblesubs as they use HiDive as source) Their translations are bad and their typesetting is just garbage (subtitles in the middle of the screen? Sign Typeface touching the edges?, etc).
I would highly recommend to wait for an actual fansub to release (StarlightSubs will be doing as soon as they finish the lyrics then release much faster), or at least get one of the fixed .ass files from nyaa.si

Everyone has so many questions about this show.
But yeah, use StarlightSubs, they take a day longer but they fixed so many mistranslations, the whole dream in the middle of the episode is mistranslated in HorribleSubs, and she didn’t say "ranked 1", but "number 1", it’s just their numbers in class, not any "rank".
And there are 5 chapters of a manga that came out as a prequel, it introduces the characters and which characters love which, I already feel bad for Mahiru.

Sooooooooo …. in episode 3 one of them gets decapitated …. I called it now and stand by it …
Like seriously even if it would fuck up as a story , I would watch it for being absolutly gorgeous
(quick note: in her prophetic dream the one that pushed her down from her "stage" was Hikari ; the hair pin showed, which is way to damn obvious)
