Joe’s songs alone deserves an Oscar, let alone the films it complements. It’s daylight robbery that Ghibli have only won 1 Oscar out of all the masterpieces they have put out

Joe Hisashi is someone who will make your wish come true just like how he did for Miyazaki.
He interpreted Miyazaki’s vision and dreams through music bringing them more life to his animation and more beautification and more connection to the viewers.
In conclusion, he is the coolest!!!

The lyrics add so so so much meaning to the song and by association, the film. These and the lyrics they wrote for Mononoke’s Theme are part of the full experience of the movie IMO, like the extended LOTR discs and commentary.

No matter how hard life gets, no matter how much we want to just give up, we have to keep moving forward. I am blessed to have lived this life knowing the Studio Ghibli films, Hayao Miyazaki and of course, Joe Hisaishi. I have listened to this piece thousands of times and this live performance brought tears to my eyes. Just beautiful in every way. May there be peace in this world to those who are yearning to live. Ghibli movies don’t matter your age you always enjoy them and always learn something important to us, Ghibli studio for years taught us how much we should treasure our lives and this beautiful planet, they put so much thoughts into their stories so much effort and hard work that every one of their movies is a masterpiece, the beauty in their backgrounds is outstanding the way they recreated Yakushima island forest for Mononoke Hime left me speechless, they put too much effort and hard work in every single detail, music voice actors story animation all is top-level, I believe for my own taste I prefer a thousand times my children watch studio ghibli than Disney movies and this made me reflect how much our occidental society lost the values and principles that identify a human being if I compare just this I almost want to cry to see how we are just savage wild beasts in cooperation with Japan, I can’t find a single one just one occidental movie able to stand up against Mononoke Hime not a single one and being honest is depressing to see what disney movies teach to our children
