Kinda random, but isn’t it super messed up that Kacchan basically told Deku to kill himself in the very first episode? Just kinda wanted to talk about it

I think its worth watching but your right it is extremly predictable. YES all you My Hero Acadima fans its preduictable or im just very good at observing for exsample Todorki winning against Midorya/Dekku there was just to many facts that gave it away.

It focuses on every character individually and it is probably the best Shonen I have ever read.. at the moment.

personally i like that all the characters are competent and behave realistically to their personality traits. Not your usual group of bumble fucks who can only overcome the odds by combining with the power of friendship and the heart of the cards. Each character has strengths and weaknesses that drive the others forward.

This show is so lazy. If I was 14 again I would love it, but instead it’s just background noise. Mob Pyscho is a better anime with some similarities.

Yeah, this plot is reused A LOT for shounen anime, going from zero to a hero. But you’re right. This show is really awesome. I definetly reccomend it, 3rd season is already out and on episode 12 so if you’re like me and finish a 12 episode anime in half a day then it should take you about 3 days to watch it. But It’s really good 100% reccomend it

*Thoughts* S2
A standard shonen series.
*what is wrong with this*
E?
the entire idea that just because people have special powers people from modern society can look on as teenagers
brutally fight each other. not to protect but for entertainment.
those times all might uses his powered up from when he does not really need to. like talking to deku alone…
he said he could only use it for about 1.5 hours a day…he really should not be wasting it….
E12
how can i get invested in a injured character when you have people with rapid healing magic powers?
E18
the system needs to be destroyed if doing the right thing is a crime…
E19
Deku thinks fire/ice boy is mean when it comes to his father….did he forget what his father has done to him?…
E20
for deku to make such a simple mistake of not paying attention where he is landing is not believable . this is the guy who thinks about thinks more then most other students…
does the writer really expect people to believe that no one is going to fix that hold in the wall between the locker rooms?
or at least cover it?

My hero is so overrated, the characters are either one dimensional, or just really cliche. Though I can agree that it got some good characters(bakugou). Deku is just really cliche, though likeable.
The story is really bad, it’s literally just, the bad guys vs the good guys. The society that they live in is so unrealistic, it’s supposed to be just like the real world but suddenly everybody got powers, but everything looks like it’s going fine. They should show us more about political problems, or I don’t know, just show us that quirks can make other problems too. Like maybe students are using their quirks cheat alot more is school, so they don’t get the same ediucation, so when they become adults they can’t handle big jobs. I don’t know, maybe childeren accidently kill their parents with their quirks. Just make this society more beliveble in some way. Though they try to show that the heros have become something like celebritys, and thats why the herokiller stein kills heros that he doesn’t think are worthy. That is very interesting, but it is only touched upon, so it needs more of that.
The animation isn’t even that impressiv, I have to agree that My hero got some really good animation(though mostly in the tournament arc) but overall, it’s not that good. It can look good when a lot of action is going on, like in the todoroki vs deku fight, that fight had the best animation in the whole show. It was really good, but the majority of the animation was pretty lame. Very cheap, no lighting effects, zero detail, and it just looked ugly. In almost all anime, they use stillframes when people are talking, and they just make the mouth move, I can’t say that I like that, but I guess it’s necessery because they don’t have enough money for it to move all the time. But the differece is that for example attack on titan has really detailed stillframes, and well it’s the standard now to have really detailed stillframes, BUT My hero has really ugly stillframes, and the simple animation that they use when no action is going on is really weak and simple.
Even the backgrounds are really cheap. I have seen Bones make these kinds of backgrounds before in their shows(Fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood), and the techniques that they use for making those kinds of backgrounds are really cheap. And because they are so cheap, they look really bad. They lack so much detail and they just scream LAZY.
So, I think that My hero academia is ok, I would rate it a 6-7/10. It got some problems, but I think I still like it, and the best part was the tournament arc. It’s simple, and it’s ok if you enjoy it. The problem is that I have seen SOOOO many people just praising this anime til no end, and I don’t think it deservs THIS much spotlight. My hero academia is ok, nothing more nothing less. If season 3 makes these things better, then I will change my opinion, but right no, it’s just ok.

What I absolutely love about this show now that I’m three seasons in is that even with all these incredibly powerful superpowers, the heroes in the show remain surprisingly street level in a classic Spiderman like way. It’s a nice way to keep things slightly grounded when it comes to the Hero work. We don’t have any like world destruction catastrophes yet, and all the problems are mostly contained within the country of where ever this takes place at.
