Funimation claims that NGE will get filtered out by Netflix’s other/ newer options. Because the classics Funimation owns NEVER get filtered out!

Netflix actual funds the production of anime, and anime companies.
Funimation buys licenses like crunchy roll. I haven’t seen an advertisement for funimation in years. I have seen more crunchy roll advertisements.

So it’s basically like this. You’re the nice guy who wants the girl. You can’t get the pussy because you’re too nice (or in this case lenient – Funimation). Some guy comes along and steals her. Now he’s pounding and smashing the fucking shit out of that fine ass pussy and cunning all over her (Netflix). It sucks dude. But don’t worry. Nth there are a lot of girls out there who would love to get smashed by you too funimation. Just wait for your time OR you could fight for the girl back I guess. It could b3 possible

Honestly, all of this discussion just makes me feel happy to just owning the whole series on DVD so I don’t have to deal with any of this streaming nonsense if I just want to watch Eva. No need for any middle men between me and my media consumption.

I don’t trust any redubbing right now with the Feminist and SJW agendas tantig everything, Funimation has been guilty of this, not sure about Netflix.

I would never use an anime-focused streaming service because I don’t like enough anime to pay for an anime only streaming service, so I’m pretty happy about this, because I do love Evangelion. If Netflix could just get Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Trigun, and Serial Experiments Lain too, I would be pretty satisfied. Hopefully we’ll get an American Evangelion Blu-Ray release sometime soon.

Netflix has got one thing that Funimation Now doesn’t have, international iavailability!
Netflix is available in 190 countries (and counting), while Funimation Now is only available in 6 countries. (U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand)

Funimation is mudslinging, but they’re right about Netflix’s terrible interface/publishing habits. I think Netflix could take it as constructive criticism from such a well established anime service.

Hey Chibi I just wanted to throw a recommendation at you. I recently stumbled upon this new anime, also made by IG Productions called "Run with the Wind" and I am shocked no one is talking about it this anime season. Its got gorgeous animation and character design reminiscent of Haikyuu and Welcome to the Ballroom. Imagine if Daichi tried to turn a group of rag-tag, non athletic ,dorm mates into a full fledged track and field team. That’s essentially the plot. He also tries to recruit the other main character, a long time lone wolf runner (who looks and acts alot like Kageyama ironically). Soundtrack is great, but the cast is what really shines. Each team member is fleshed out and unique, with their own backstories revealed through the series. I feel like if you liked Haikyuu or Welcome to the Ballroom, you’d enjoy this a lot. Please give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed! As of now, it is 12 episodes in, and will have 24 episodes total.

As a Norwegian, I am of course happy that Evangelion will be on a service that I can get. Also, the idea that it will get buried in Netflix’s huge library doesn’t really hold, does it? An anime fan, the kind of fan who would have subscribed to Funimation in the first place, would of course click on Netflix’s anime section regularly, and then all of Netflix’s non-anime content wouldn’t be an issue.

This is music to my ears. Competition is something that has been dying in all industries in the past 20 years. All this means is that funnimation will work harder to snatch another popular IP, which can only be good for everyone. This might also force Netflix to change the way it delivers Anime.

I doubt a lot of people remembered this, but Funimation was also fumbling real bad with the dub of 3.33 so much that the creators back in Japan had to start hand holding them. It took SO LONG for the english dub of 3.33 because they had to redo the entire movie again after a test watch by fans, and they all busted out laughing how bad it was.

I didn’t watch 10 minutes of the Castlevania anime when it came out. I finally gave it another chance because my friend liked it. I’m thinking I’m okay with Netflix having the rights to any anime so long as they don’t pull some live action crap. They wil, undoubtedly. But I’ll ignore it and focus on how much I like what they do with animated things. If they could remake Berserk 2016, I’d be ready to join Elizabesu in Heaven afterwards.

  46. Stuntastik30
    March 5, 2019 @ 12:25 pm

If Netflix’s has the rights to both the series and the new movies then It really sucks in a way because the 4th movie still hasn’t come out yet and now Funimation probably won’t be involved with dubbing it. Netflix has been doing a great job with the anime’s they’ve already dubbed, I just hope they have most of the original voice actors reprise their roles for at least the 4th movie.

Redubbing the original series for a new audience is one thing but I feel Funimation should finish off the movies for the sake of symmetry, unless Netflix keeps the same actors as I mentioned before.

I’m sure once Eva drops onto Netflix people won’t have any problem finding it. It’ll likely be one of the first to show up on the anime tab. I think it’s great that Netflix has it.
