Came back here after watching the finale of Progressive. I love how it mirrored the scene of Haruko hugging Naota with *SPOILERS* Atomsk embracing Haruko when she’s crying about failing to reach him again. Moments like that are what really make FLCL special. I’m so glad we got Progressive, even if it wasn’t quite as good as the original series, and I can’t wait for Alternative in September!

The OST from the original FLCL is one of the only things in this world that can, without fail, make me depressed immediately. It’s like a tangible wave of "time to die, buck-o" any time I even hear the first note of one of these songs and it carries out all the way through to the end and then some. *deep sigh

Man… Staying up late every Saturday night to watch this and a bunch of other shows was my absolute favorite part of my childhood. Now that I’m a 20-something with those days mostly behind me, I’m so happy to see Toonami and FLCL come back! It made me remember little bits of myself that I felt like I lost when I went through High School and College.
