I feel like magmadiver gets a bad wrap, it establishes allot of key plot points that get fleshed out down the line and that Shinji Asuka moment is cute af, episode 7 is pretty bad tho, to the point where I literally forget it ever existed until you brought it up

Episode 20-21 was probably my favorite. Shinji knew his dad was always an asshole. But know he’s had to confront it, but he’s taken it way too far by thinking everyone else fucking hates him.

My favourite was episode 17. Unit 03 had little to no action but remains to be my favourite Eva and I like the conflict between Shinji and Gendo with Shinji willing to try and save someone he thought he hadn’t met and Gendo being displayed as a cold blooded leader willing to go to extreme lengths on anybody. Also Unit 03 walking in front of a red sun was awesome.

Talking about Magmadiver, let’s not forget that Unit 01 just dives into the magma no problem when Unit 02 needed all the special armor and equipment to withstand the conditions, and this is never addressed

7:29 I think the truth about the Magi and their connection to Ritsuko’s mother is meant to be foreshadowing for the truth about Unit 01. That was my take, and I think it adds to the purpose of this episode a little bit.

Episode 4 is a personal favorite of mine because it felt so personal and something I could easily relate to. What Shinji was struggling with, was so real to me. The shot of him overlooking the city of Tokyo-3 is forever saved in my mind.

Hay algunos episodios que concuerdo odiar, como lo de ritsuko a pocos le interesan el plan para detener al angel, pero fue un momento de tension si se lograba o no detener la contaminación del eva 00, por ejemplo el 3 no es de lo que odio, me parecio interesante, y tranquilos, observar los paisajes, y demas

My underrated favorite episode is the one that the entire city (or was it just NERV? don’t remember) blacks out and Misato’s side comes up with a plan to defeat the angel while the 3 pilots have their shenanigans trying to enter Nerv. I don’t know, I think it’s a fun one due to the circumstances. I guess I love seeing common but unexpected adversities like "electricity is gone" in my shows.

Eva was one of the first anime series I had ever seen. My (step)dad showed me this when my mom and I first moved in with him, we bonded over this show. Magmadiver was actually my favorite growing up. I still enjoy it 25 years later.

Fuggg :DDDD As a programmer I like the one where they battle the computer virus angel a lot. It’s such a refreshing concept. Computer viruses might be **weapons** seen in sci-fi shows from time to time, but a computer virus being the main enemy, based on a biological metaphysical/theological demigodlike being?

I was neutral with all episodes. 13 was good as I’m not watching for action, 24 was definitely good. I went from "haha nice animation you" when the long pause happened to "dear lord shinji no". Loved the 24

The last two episodes were the worst. Just plain garbage that should have never been made. As bad as the filler episodes were, at least they advanced the plot somewhat and gave some insight into some things. The last two episodes were a huge let down to a series that needed a great conclusion. Thank goodness for End of Evangelion and Rebuild. Phew.
