I’m so blown away on how Anno voiced the main role for The Wind Rises. I already love the film, and I was given another rise to love it. I don’t know how I didn’t realize it before.

The Eva shinkansen reminds me of that audio drama, I think it was titled "After the End", where the characters come up with a bunch of crappy sequel ideas, and I think one of them included shinkansen-transforming Evas. Some twenty years later, the vision finally realized!
