i feel like everyone on youtube is completely missing the fact that Hawks does NOT want to be #1 only because of the responsibility and burden of being the Symbol of Peace. He does want to be the best hero in the world, he doesn’t want to be ranked and have to basically do promotional shit. The vibe i get from him is he’s a guy that just wants to do his job the best he can and he views heroes being ranked and having to be social icons as counter productive to heroes being effective.
He isn’t lazy, he just doesn’t want to deal with the politics, so he says that his reason for things is laziness. But he puts a lot of hard work into what he does, his investigating if the Nomus were just rumors or true shows that, he did an actual investigation instead of only dealing with problems as they showed up. That is the opposite of lazy.

I personally like asshole characters (Endeavor, Bakugou) more than the saintly ones (AllMight, Midoriya) because watching their development is so satisfying and their growth can be relatable cause it makes them more human than some fictional character.

Idk why but I feel like in EP9 when Shigaraki says “father” while looking at that hand, I feel like that’s his dead dads hand and that explains why it’s grey, because it’s rotten and the reason why the hand doesn’t have a body is because shigaraki accidentally used his quirk on it.

Here’s the thing about Hawks : he does what he does for fame, as you can see he pays an incredible amount of attention to what impacts his reputation , and HOW it impacts his reputation. That’s what i don’t like about him , gives me the idea he’s just trying to use endeavor to his own advantage, and despite endeavor’s awful personality i fucking love him so if that pidgeon dares to do that i hope he gets toasted. Oh also about AFO , i think that too! I can hardly believe the restraints they put on him can really hold him, so there’s a chance he’s beyond that nomu , but also the doctor who helped him was never captured and we don’t really know if he has a quirk, what he can do…

At absolutely NO POINT was stated that Endeavor was abusive to his wife, everything we know is from TODOROKI’s viewpoint, a fucking child. The translations make up a lot of shit and make Endeavor seem way worse than he actually is. And no matter how much of a demanding father Endeavor was, everyone forgets that the mark on Shouto’s was by his mother’s hand, by her own choice, and love to shift the guilt to Endeavor.

I think Highend is not just a normal nomu since that would mean kurogiri would be lost as a character and even though they are villians the Leaque does treasure its members espacially kurogiri. After all he seems to be very close to Shogaraki so it wouldnt fit just sacraficing him like that. I rather think he was created by Overhauls quirk that would also explain why he can still speak and they also would be able to get seperated again.

Despite how much I like Hawks, I think he’s trying to figure out Endeavor’s past and later on it will be revealed, and the public would hate him, and since his reputation would go down, the hero ranking would change and Hawks would become number 1.

As for Hawks… it’s quite possible that he never tried to be the no. 2. Just take a look at how he acted while walking along Endeavour – he was doing so many minor things like helping out the grandma – it’s no wonder people love him – and in this society – with those little acts he just earns a lot of ‘points’ so it could have just come out that he turned out no. 2 without him doing anything special or out of the ordinary for him.

After watching this chapter and reading about Hawk character. I realize his idealists are like Jedi who want everlasting peace in world for an easy life which is good. The only backlash is that it cause laziness, less profit and society will no long need a hero/Jedi and they will lose their job if their no crime what so ever.(But crime would be hidden from blind eye.)
