Don’t worry, I feel the same way. They are pretty much, explaining something obvious in an overcomplicated way. XD They were pretty much trying to say, it confirms that her life doesn’t get restored by giving up the death note.

My impression was that Misa’s new life span would have run out soon after she was captured. Which would have happened after L tested the 13 day rule. That would have been why Rem had to kill him before he discovered if the rule was fake.

I hate Light and this damn show after last episode. L won as far as I’m concerned. He figured Light was Kira and he was right. He did from his logic and smarts. Not the convoluted shit this show pulls to make Light win till final episode.

11:14 ya know I’ve watched this anime and reactions to it probly a dozen times, and I’m just realizing that Light probly knew Misa wouldn’t remember L’s name, but would take the eye deal for it. He knew Misa couldn’t kill L, but he pushed into taking the eye deal again just so he could get rid of her faster

How to solve the "shinigami numbers" problem:
1. Go to old folk’s home or hospital for people in critical care.
2. Write down as many of their numbers as possible.
3. Wait 6 months.
4. Record all death dates.
5. Compare them to the shinigami numbers.
6. Find a conversion factor.

What’s always bothered me with this series is that L never thought to relook over evidence now that he knows about the existence of the notebook and shinigami. Surely he remembers when Misa’s hair seemed to move on it’s own. That right there would have Rem on tape. I’m not sure but it would seem stupid if L wasn’t recording any of it, after all he did want a confession.

The shuffling of the Death Notes was a multilayered tactic. The first purpose it serves is to put Misa with Ryuk instead of Rem so that because of Ryuk’s personality Misa can make the eye trade again, the second is to keep Rem near L, the third was so that it was the Death Note with all of the names of Kira’s victims in it.

After the next episode, there’s Death Note Rewrite #1, which recaps the first season, BUT there is an interesting scene at the end depicting the aftermath, exclusive to this special. I’d recommend slipping that one scene in at the end of next episode
