So this episode was a filler, but it wasn’t a bad kind as it was to expand on the characters that the manga didn’t. Todoroki fight and Asui and the other never happened in the manga at all. However I didn’t like the IQ girl, it was bad enough it wasn’t a Horikoshi made character but that whole class was made to look like a Harem anime class.

I think it’s worth noting that while a lot of students look up to Deku, not as many look up to Bakugo. However, Deku himself actually admires Bakugo quite a bit, which indirectly affects the whole class

The best thing about Deku and Bakugo is that they both represent the characteristics of everyone in class 1-A. You can find a piece of Deku or Bakugo in all of the classmates. They both are becoming miniature symbols of peace and don’t even know it.

I actually enjoy this episode more the the previous one, sure it’s slower but it’s surprisingly intense, the new character is yet another waifu material, Shouji and Jiro both got a lot of screen time which is welcoming, and a *lot* things only mentioned in the character sheet are added to this episode, such as Yaoyorictionary and Tsuyu’s weakness. Not to mention the animation looks better too, most of the extras actually show their quirks and fight

In the manga, Todoroki had already beaten a few opponents. His fight was never emphasized. So that’s why his fight seem kinda lack lustered in terms of how easy it is.
