I keep seeing Tokoyami rank in "strongest character" lists but isn’t … a flashlight a pretty *sigh* GLARING fucking weakness? Or is it the secrecy thing.
Also god dammit tekking i remember i had that "special" phase all the way into my mid goddamn 20s. Not so much the "i’m special" thing as basically just hoping something supernatural would solve my problems… like if i had problems during finals in Uni i’d hope i could devour my fucking professors for their knowledge. When you said that i went "huh…. havn’t had a dream like that in years… fml i’m old"

The raven is a mask, not his face, maybe one day when he is more developed we will see his face? I would really like to know more about him and his childhood because with this kind of quirk he has not had an easy one

I think the reason for his bird head is because crows and ravens are symbols of darkness, bad luck and death. Tokoyami is the symbolizes of all three. I believe that’s the reason he has it. Also it looks cool. Dark shadow is a cool quirk but it comes at a price, he can hurt or kill the people you care about if he gets out of control and there is nothing he can do about it but to watch the horror that is apart of him.That’s why Tokoyami doesn’t gloat about his quirk being so cool. He still has the best quirk though?.

Funny thing is that even if dark shadow killed someone no one would get in trouble. Because you can’t trial tokoyami because dark shadow is his own sentient being separate from tokoyami so you would have to trial dark shadow by himself of his crimes but since dark shadows is part of tokoyami you can’t really do that because they can’t punish dark shadow by saying "you are forbidden from going out" because that’s punishing Tokoyami because it’s his quirk. You also cant throw dark shadow in prison because he lives in tokoyami and its not like tokoyami was conscious it’s like pleading insanity so would tokoyami be treated like insane and be punished by severe training? Cause that’s basically blaming tokoyami for dark shadows actions even though he can never force dark shadow to do anything just like you cant force a human being to listen to you

Hah you never grow out of that phase, I think you portrayed him the wrong way. Aside from his obsession with darkness his character is deeply romantic, from his expressions to his quirk. Also let’s not forget that the first main hook of the series is seeing someone with solid morals but without powers being given a special power. Why do you think people identify with that?
