goblin slayer ep 1 isnt for shock value. He thinks that because the anime rearranged the arcs and didn’t include everything. That’s why the anime seems to start slow after episode 1. Look at the manga, it keeps being graphic as compared to the anime. Back to this episode of SAO though, if this is how the season is going I am on the hype train.

Yo good video and in goblin slayer light novel and manga there is hella rape or at least the mention there of i think the creators made it in the way to show how diffrent it is from the usual fantasy setting and wanted to show it in a darker and more realistic type of way and i do agree they use rape as a way to show how unforgiving the world is and as for shock value for the 1st chapter/episode yes but going forward it just demonstrates that it is how the world works and loses it shock value
