I think you desperately need to make a video explaining how Itachi is NOT the solo king. I’m getting tired of this Yata mirror, Totsuka blade Itachi is invincible bullshit. In particular the Yata mirror desperately need an explanation, people overestimate it like crazy. It would be nice to have something to refer these Itachi wankers to, rather than having to explain it myself every time. That would be great. thank-you.

I like it, the last few episodes have at least been leading up to something, the characters are also funny sometimes, I lowered my expectations for this show and perhaps i made the right choice it’s a change in pace for sure from Naruto but I like it, and knowing that there’s crazy already in the manga waiting to happen in the anime I’m just more excited!

@swagkage I like your videos a lot. I agree Boruto is moving slow af. However, I think something to consider when critiquing the show: in perspective of the Narutoverse, the fourth war literally affected everyone on the planet. The conflict the allied shinobi forces overcame is exactly why no big villains have been introduced yet, why the story is taking its time to develop. Albeit, a lot more time than most of us think is necessary. This is why slice of life and character development episodes are so rampant. The latest episode was great in my opinion. Kishimoto is trying to grip us by the balls again. I have faith that the progression of the story is still fresh in his head. Just something to consider. Thanks again for the videos on my favorite animes. Keep on swaggin’!

I think the funniest part of Boruto is that the whole first arc plus the flash-forward involve/showcase his "super special dojutsu" but its never heard from again (unless its in the manga again I havent read it)

you’re definitely right about how these episodes don’t really feel like they amount to anything or progress the story hard as they try. like they do this where they want you to think they are progressing the story but they really aren’t cause it’s obvious they are limiting themselves but the very limited amount of source material they have on the manga. I’m not big on the manga either cause it has similar issues to the anime in particular how the kids at whatever given moment have more power than their parents did at their age and do some over the top stuff without really diving into any sense of progression or development.
3 out of 5 is fair but i wouldn’t say the episode is a recommendation and is more of a hit or miss depending on who’s watching. the only times this anime seems to do better which really isn’t saying much is when things aren’t over the top like you already said, aren’t making these kids be more powerful than their parents just because, and ironically enough when episodes aren’t centered around Boruto since you literally can guess what he’s gonna do or say in a situation when you take note of his particular character faults. certain episodes like when the focus on the kids and their family daily lives shine to the extent they handled those in a slice of life kind of way when it needs to be that vs arcs like the anywhere between the sumire to that bridge mission are either over the top or have these kids feel too over powered or as you said the antagonists just feel really stupid and more like villains of the week kind of deals.
nothing wrong with a call back concept to something from naruto but both the manga and anime do a lot of that already to where even if you appreciate the call back to haku the fact they did a lot of call backs to other things from naruto already really just makes it tiresome and really shows the writers don’t know where they wanna take this or what they wanna do with boruto.
I’ll stop here since any more and it’ll turn into a full on discussion topic.
