I can definitely agree with her. My favourite opening is also “Guess Who is Back”, it’s so fucking good. Also the ‘sad’ opening by Vickeblanka (i think it’s 9 or something) “Black Catcher”, is on top for me too. That’s about the whole part with Midnight Sun.
Then again when it comes to the next big Arc with the other Demon Guys, the “Nandomo, nandomo” Opening is really good too – it’s using a really different style to all of the previous openings, it sounds like some Spanish pop or something xD That ‘nandomo, nandomo’ is kinda like “Sasageyo, sasageyo”, if hear it once, it will haunt me the whole day.

There are a lot worse ways to introduce someone to anime, so choosing to go with Black Clover? Two thumbs up my guy. OH! As a quick reminder they changed out the Op with the start of every major story arc. Maybe if she got a filler Ep. skip list she’s be more willing to take on those other shows.
Personally I don’t think the openings are all that spoilery except for maybe 8, 9, 10 and 13 (the reveal of the Chadsta and a couple other things) cuz they do give away major plot points even if you don’t get it at the time (4th one does give away Veto doing his best impression of the Spanish Inquisition, also points to anyone that gets that reference).
Chadsta pops up: I see she is a Woman of Culture. Ok seriously though, if she has ANY plans on watching Black Clover in the future she NEEDS to be warned about Asta’s voice in the beginning. Thank god that V.A. improved as much as he did (you can also hear that guy as the voice of the MC in “Fireforce” and as Tadano in “Komi cant Communicate”).
What follows is what I liked and noticed in the Op.s but I never really see many others noticing these bits as well, so Im just gonna throw them out there.
What I like most (now) about the 3rd Op. is how at the every end you see the sun setting behind the skull, since at this point the bad guy’s plans are already 80% complete we just didn’t know it.
The 4th one… it always surprises me no one ever mentions the appearance of Charmy’s eyes when she’s fully in shadow, especially when none of the other Black Bulls had that happen to them. Of course NOW we know what her deal is but back when I first saw this Op. I knew sooner or later Charmy was gonna have a big reveal in regards to something. Also I do love at the end how they have Gordon’s hat on the floor during the group shot.
5th one, almost no one ever notices Asta’s arms in slings. lol. 6th one, you got the char. AND their magic attribute in some kind of action before the fade to black (didn’t realize that myself til I saw Mimosa). If only the animation for this arc could have lived up to the Op.
8th one, right there at the end. Just like the 3rd one except the sun has finally slipped past the skull and is about to go past the horizon and night shall fall. The 9th one continuing the theme with night having fallen, plus lets not forget this whole arc takes place over the course of one single night. The 10th continues the theme (to me at least), all is dark, despair, no hope, about to teeter into blackness and then at the end a glimpse of paradise (at the time I thought for sure it meant Nero was gonna die with those other two who seem to be welcoming her).
11th one finishes the theme with the opening of a new dawn (or at least I always interpreted it that way). At the end of Op. 12, Asta leading Yuno as kids, then Yuno has taken the lead on their way to the Magic Knights and now currently with the two of them neck and in neck.

Still makes more sense than (for example) how I have read and watched Dragon Ball (give or take a few non-canon eps), watched all of Dragon Ball Super save the films (and I’m reading the manga now) but… my track record with Dragon Ball Z is sketchy.
