I watched NGE for the very first time this year, and I’m glad I didn’t watch it when I first started getting into anime either because even 7 years later I have no idea how I feel about this show. The first 16 episodes are your normal typical anime and then it kinda goes haywire. I have no idea how I feel about the show and I kinda feel like it’s a good thing. It keeps me wondering

i was asking for anime recommendations and my friend told me about nge. i asked him what it was about and he replied with “a bunch of kids fighting in mechs!!” i like sci fi, so i tried it out. i finished it and am now feeling like an incomplete mess of a human being. help.
