I think Papenbrook is a talented voice actor in a lot of things, but he just didn’t feel like Eren to me. I go for the subs for this one (although Eren constantly screaming in Japanese doesn’t make it any more bearable…the guy just needs a mute collar)

The voice actor for Eren doesn’t match the fury that Eren’s expression shows. His screams sound like someone casually playing with a flying disc rather than someone who just witnessed his mother’s horrible death, the disappearance of his father, the destruction of his home, his friends and comrades being eaten alive, and him coping with abilities he never knew he had. . . . . just saying. . .

I typically stay away from anime because I find it too sexual, but this show is a breath of fresh air. None of the female characters are sexualized, the female members of the Survey Corp wear practical uniforms (none of that bikini armor crap), and the Titans don’t even have genitals (for some reason). I don’t consider myself a prude, but I just don’t find the Japanese emphasis on sexuality appealing.
