I think the kids are actually really important for the MHA world. Kids are extremely impressionable, and this episode we see how all the negativity in the world regarding heros has implanted itself in the minds of the young generation. The kids see all these adults around them, in real life and TV, talking about how unreliable the heroes are, and sonics children have such simple minds, and these ones in particular have strong quirks, they believe that they can be much better than the irresponsible adults they know of. You said they don’t talk like real kids, but they pretty much do with the exception of the boss, who’s character gag is that he talks like an adult. Personally (not even counting the Quirk Doomsday Theory), I believe the part with the kids is very important for the world building in this series and shows even more consequences of the unease in society caused by All Might’s retirement.

I usually agree with you but I can’t about the kids. I’m definitely bias because I work with kids, but this mini arc offered a lot of great moments for me plus I enjoyed the humor. It feels like a breath of fresh air for me after the intensity of the last arc.

I am not the biggest fan of Blasty boy but even I can’t deny that he was impressive and dare I say wise? Also that tension between Shoto and Endeavour…I am looking forward to that Todoroki family drama for sure. Shoto actually smiled in this episode which was a pleasant surprise because that boy has zero expression usually. I think Aoyama is the kind of person that quietly observes people. Remember he even planted the idea of Ochako crushing on Izuku which freaked her out. So I am not surprised he does the same thing here.

Endeavor doesnt want redemption. he wants atonement. is a good way to put it i think

Yup, but he’s also suspicious AF. You saw that he carved something into the stone before Midoriya talked to him, and we didn’t see what it was.

Not gonna lie, Aoyama’s method for befriending people would totally work on me.
You’ll give me cheese? Heck yeah, come here bestie!!

I really dislike that you didn’t like the kid parts. But I still love your videos and other opinions.
As a manga reader, *slight spoilers*
The kid’s speech about their powerful quirks is important to remember later.

Blimey… what do you have against kids? Also isn’t it a success for the show that characters you are meant to find annoying were, you know… annoying?

Deku, while facing down mob bosses, terrorists, and city-demolishing villains: No fear.
Deku, when Aoyama gives him some cheese: One fear!

Aoyama’s eh. Momo though is extremely underrated, and she has the best quirk in the show thus far. I even made two videos about her (please watch them). Other than that I liked hearing your dislike for the kids, I didn’t think that was a good part of the story either.

They failed that portion so that’s why they had to work on it again and I have to agree the kids aren’t that bad and progressed characters like bakugou shoto and inasa

I can see why you might not like this arc but I dont agree. This is way better than the first Provisional License exam.

I, agree with ya I think that Aoyama is an underrated character. When, I first met him in season one I loved his sparkling personality. When, i saw him on Deku’s window i thought oh no is he the traitor? Thankfully that wasn’t the case

The kids being that obnoxious makes complete sense, especially in the context of endeavour and all might in the background. All might was the hero everyone looked up to, especially kids (just look at deku and bakugo). Since endeavour took the top place, he hasn’t conveyed the same ideals and the society feels lost in which direction to go (hence increased crime rates). Especially with kids being told about their quirks are getting stronger, they would be kids in thinking they are the most important thing in the world. Since they have that overconfidence, plus seeing how things are getting worse around them, the superiority brat behaviour makes sense. That’s just my take anyways 🙂

This episode got a lot of laughs out of me–I just love when Class 1A gets the time to interact and develop! Also I’ll definitely be stealing Aoyama’s method. Leave some surprise cheese on my desired BFF/bae’s balcony and BOOM instant friendship

I really can’t relate with you at all on the kids. I don’t get why you hate that part so much. ?
