Wow, just…wow. This has officially become my new AMV no. 1, replacing the GATE one featuring Die Walküre. I’ve never seen this animation (nor do I ever intend to), but the synchronisation of its mutitonal images and action with Rachmaninov’s staccatos and arpeggios is rendered perfectly. An astounding job.

Oh gosh, this brings back traumatic flashbacks of the piano recital in which my incompetent eight-year-old self had to play this piece. Yet I can never pass up a well-done Mononoke AMV, so here I am watching and it’s totally worth it.
