My assumption as to why Onoki didn’t just try to find his heart stone was that he already found his long ago when he did this as a ninja in training. He already found it so he can’t find it again. It has to be someone who hasn’t found it. Once it’s found it can not be lost.

just to help out a bit. the reason why onoki cant find his stone is because you can only find it through the will to train and become stronger. onoki is an old man so there is no way he could possibly find a stone anymore

Is it just me or everyone that they are always superhyping boruto. And his voice and words seem always like a know-all wannabe. How is this even character development? It’s rubbish and character development for filler characters. I still remember the same early episodes of Naruto. Now that was some real stuff. This one is more about talking bs all the time.

I didn’t think that Lee’s taijutsu was based on chakra control at all. I mean we see him working out and training his physical body alot, but not his chakra. Are they somehow connected?

Filler should just involve fighting and cool shit, then when they get back to the canon it should just involve more cool shit and more fighting. Problem solved. They can do a filler arc about what sasuke or naruto was doing maybe 3 years before they had their kids. Go follow sasuke atoning for his sins. They can drag booth of those arcs for 30 episodes each of just dope shit. Its not that fucking hard to come up with this shit.

I’m convinced that in the Naruto/Boruto universe there are "main writers" who actually write the true expository material that moves the series forward. I imagine they are very senior level people who write whenever they feel like it and are paid lots of money. They’re probably in Switzerland or Fiji for the winter depending on their tastes. These senior level writers probably only do any real writing 1 or 2 months out of the year. 80%-90% of Naruto/Boruto episode writing is done by interns who work in sweat shop conditions and they are dead on the inside; therefore, all they are capable of writing is filler.

Y’all gotta understand episodes like this are a drag but perfectly necessary. These episodes are the building blocks for the climax of the arcs and big fights. The story telling is what sets Naruto and Boruto apart from DBZ which has a "fight first and make sense of it all later" type of style which leave plot holes and other confusing aspects in the DB universe like power scaling. These informational episodes give you contexts and understanding of the plot so their wouldn’t be so much plot holes and/or inconsistencies like that of the Dragonball series/manga. The reason why we never really have questions about Naruto/Boruto that don’t get answered (with easy thoughtful answers and not seemingly made up ones) in some ridiculous way like DB does is because these episodes gives us the information needed to understand the arcs, its message, and the character construction that goes on. This is great stuff that keeps the show and story together and consistent.
