   This wasn’t the perfect anime and it’s sad to see how a lot of people are hating it. I don’t love SAO but I like it. It has memories for me and not to mention that the songs here are a real banger. 😀

   It was actually a bit emotional watching this reaction. It’s amazing watching someone enjoying A) something you hold dear and B) something they never seen as a worthwhile pursuit. Anime is so much more than cartoons

    I’m sure there are lots of people trashing on this series, but it’s one of my all time favorites. I definitely recommend watching it early in your anime experience. When you have a hundred other shows that do the same things in a better way, it definitely brings it down a peg or two. But if it’s one of your first animes, it’s going to straight up slap for you.

    Sword Art Online is probably one of my favorite anime to watch, time and time again. BUT the Abridged storyline by Something Witty Entertainment on youtube really takes the cake lol

    Heeheehee Yep completely wrong guess about the anime, its actually very tragic and sinister but with hope. This one, Overlord, Rise of the Shield Hero, The Hero is Overpowered But Overly Cautious, Arifureta From Commonplace to Worlds Strongest, Log Horizon are great Isekai animes which means being taken from your world and put into a fantasy type world by some entity or force for some purpose. I would say you must watch at least all of these.

    If you like to watch attack on Titan and Sword art online then watch Vinland saga you’ll definitely like that anime and plus all three are pretty anime

    It’s based on video games. In the first season they literally get mentally trapped in the game and are in coma irl and die of brain anurism if they die in game. The next seasons have far less stakes and are kinda money grubby. As if they’re milking the series.

    The anime isn’t the greatest. But I wouldn’t say it’s bad. It’s just a little generic in the later seasons and the setting literally changes. I do recommend the first season and gungale online as well. But I personally wouldn’t watch past it.

    Found your anime opening videos tonight and have been having fun going through them to see how you react. Thought I’d give you some recommendations.

    The Ancient Magus Bride (newer anime, doesn’t have a lot of openings, but it’s the first one I think will have the best reaction)

    Kalido Star (older anime, but a really fun one about a girl living her dream of joining an acrobatics group)

    Princess Tutu (very niche and dear to my heart, older anime with only one opening, but I will always recommend it to anyone who will listen)

    Inuyasha (older anime, but well loved, popular, and its sequel is on going)

    Just look up "Cruel Angels Thesis" (name of a specific opening or ending to another older classic that is a banger)

    The og Fruits Basket opening and ending from the early 2000’s. But also watch the modern update, it’s closer to the manga now that it is complete

    Kamisama Karin (adored the manga, it’s more complex than it appears on surface level)

    Yona of the Dawn (recent anime, only one season, but the manga is on going and shit has gone down, but also still worth looking into)

    Oran High School Host Club (you want comedy? You want the pain of never getting a season 2 even though the manga is complete, but you still wind up satisfied and then stuck with a fun opening in your head? I present to you an anime that literally no one hates)

    A lot of what I recommend to you would fall under the ‘shoujo’ category in anime. The anime that you have reacted to so far that I have seen would fall under ‘shounen’. Shounen is typically targeted towards boys, while shoujo is targeted towards girls. But do not let that dissuade you from checking them out. Inuyasha has plenty of action and fighting, Yona has political drama and also fighting, Oran is a high school comedy, Fruits Basket is a heart warming tale that leads to the braking of a curse that has controlled a family for generations, Princess Tutu is about how even someone insignificant in the greater scheme of a much larger story can make an impact, and Kamisama Karin is nostalgic to me and while it’s cutesy, it does have more twists than expected and builds to the unraveling of a secret that connects all the main characters.

    all the arcs of sao r different but they all (my head cannon) deal with wat is reality/real; the 4th ep of s1 says it perfectly under the tree (im not going to find the exact quote cause i will start watching the show for the 6th time if i do lol)
    somehow they all somehow involve being stuck in a video game (vr-mmo-rpg) except for 1 arc (Calibur) (all the arcs r named btw)

    Hey I liked your reaction. I just wanted to mention in case you decide to go back to watching these openings, there are 2 more that you haven’t seen for this one and the last opening you watched in this video didn’t have the original video animation. The one you watched had the right song, but the background video was just a bunch of random clips from the show and a lot of them were from totally different seasons so that probably made it look even more confusing. With the right background video to the opening music, it would have looked so much better while listening to it. Hopefully you get to see the rest of the openings though. I think they’re worth watching. 👍

    Don’t know whether this is a spoiler or not but this is set in the near future where a type of VR is invented where it is a full body experience. Your actual body would be unconscious on a bed or chair but in the VR world, you can freely move, touch, taste, smell and hear the things around you. It is like you are fully inside the VR world that was made.

    Dude, if you have to watch Anime without 1000 episode you definitely have to continue to watch Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online (for this one, you have to watch the movie Sword Art Online : Ordinal Scale between the season 2 and 3 because it’s a part of the main story) and My Hero Academia, FullMetal Alchemist : Brother Hood. Definitely some of best anime ever created.

    And other incredible Anime with more episodes, One Piece (the best of the best anime ever but actually 1035 episode and don’t finish yet), Naruto and after Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail (2 kind of spectator for this anime, or you’ll don’t like it of you’ll really become a big fan of this one. Me I have a tattoo from this anime sooooo… :p) and Bleach offcourse.

    The reason why the scenes kept changing as you go through the songs is because SAO kept changing its setting every season. Basically, SAO’s main thing is Advanced VRRMMO. The main protagonist is somehow getting dragged into deadly virtual game worlds with real life consequences. The vrmmo game "SAO" was created by a "lunatic" who rigged the vr headsets with brain fying tech. So if they die in game, they die irl. They are trapped there. (I swear it’ll make more sense once you watch it. It’s not just some dumb magic bullshit.)

    This isnt really a big spoiler) the second game (GGO, the one with guns and light sabers) is basically just a normal VRMMO but this time, Kirito was sent by the government to investigate a suspicious occurance in game seeing as he’s the person who freed everyone from the SAO’s brain frying death game.

    Recently discovered your channel man you’re really entertaining to watch. Sword Art Online happens to be my favorite anime so I thought I’d explain a little bit about what you saw in these openings. The anime itself is light in different spots but is very much a darker ton. Thousands of people are trapped in a Vr game and if they die in the game they die in real life. So amidst trying to survive and get home two characters find love together and decide to get home together. If you haven’t checked it out yet I highly recommend it.

    Openings don’t have scrolling credits but Endings do. You will see the title of the show in the opening but not the ending. The one you thought it was the same song was the same song but their was a main character added to that.
