It’s crazy how the world they live in has endless villains and horrible death rates, and it could be a super serious show like attack on titan with cry-worthy moments and ppl getting really into it, but it’s simply a parody of all that with a hero that literally can’t be harmed. If I had to look for some sort of deeper meaning, I guess it’s that all the power just made saitama bored, but when Genos showed up and saitama began to make a connection, he actually had a spark in his life. So, something as simple as friendship gave him more happiness than all the power in the world.
But it’s just a parody, after all 😛 idk if the creator of the manga really was thinking about it that way.
