Some of my favourite moments from the show was just when they show landscape and have some hip hop rap playing so you could feel more immersed in that slum atmosphere.
Seeing how they downed the resolution they really wanted to contrast against glossy anime which is popular today so it has this more dirty less polished feel which is super great!

The more episodes I saw I began to see a consistent underlying theme of this anime that’s said a few times from Yuri : the "Real Deal" and "Value". The repeated statement of the fighter making the gear and not the other way around, they visit many times that the product of such extravagant shiny gear can improve physical performances but could be just as less valuable as not being able to properly utilize it. I’m glad this Anime was made.

I liked the show but it didn’t live up to my expectations as an ANJ fan. That show shaped my personality when I was 10 years old so I guess I can be picky about Megalobox. Yet Arakagi arc was Much better the original Kim arc.

If you like UFC, you should watch the OG Baki The Grappler that came out in 2001. It’s good so far apart from the horrible looking intro in season 2 and there’s a 3rd season that recently came out in the summer season
