This was just something I threw together, although Alfheim wasn’t the greatest in the whole SAO series I actually enjoyed it after I understood what was really going on. Corny, cheesy, yes, but the whole Brain Manipulation is what pulled me into Alfheim.
What if Kazuto (Kirito) failed and Asuna’s brain was manipulated to thinking Kazuto was her enemy instead of the best person she had ever met in her whole entire life? A whole new story would have to emerge where he tries to return Asuna back to her old self.

This is still good, but I liked the original SAO mashup trailer you made more. It felt more lively. This one is still great though.
As for your prompt in the comments, that’s where I thought the fairy arc was going. I thought Kirito would climb all the way to the top, only to find a brainwashed Asuna loyal to Sugou and hard wired to kill him as a traitor and he would have to snap her out of it using love and willpower (cliche I know, but it would’ve matched his finale with Kayaba). It would’ve been an interesting one.
