I’m over a year late, but I’m enjoying this reaction. 😀 Btw, according to Miyazaki, the movie takes place during the Muromachi period (1336-1573). Even several hundreds of years before that, women and men would paint their teeth black for beauty, so it wouldn’t be too weird that they’d have lipstick too by then. xD
