Glad I decided to try at least the first episode. Reading the description on MAL and seeing this is the director’s first anime, I wasn’t really interested, but I decided to give it a try because the art and animation in the trailer looked pretty good and for some reason it reminded me slightly of Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.
I still think S;G 0 will be the best this season, but I’m pretty sure this one will be a very close second

Man, my favorite moment was that rainy night scene. How it was constructed, the lightning and music, everything worked perfectly, and is because of that scene that the cliffhanger at the end works so well.
Btw, nice review. First video I see from this channel, gonna check out some more 🙂

Hell, the anime is a modern day reboot of Ashita no Joe! A cult classic boxing anime! The soundtrack is amazing and the story, the setting and the characters draws you in! First episode in I am already hooked.

Anyone who’s just slightly into martial arts series. Check out Holyland (manga). It explains every fight in detail, so you’re able to follow the strategy behind every move.

I could already acknowledge this anime, not pulling it’s punches, and excel at being among the must watch anime’s for this year. Don’t have much interest in sports of any kind but the elements they implemented of a technological advanced future and a wasteland like destination for non citizens with a post apocalyptic atmosphere got me keened on watching it. I’m a sucker for animations like this and IT’S GOING TO PACK ONE HELL OF A PUNCH…or punches.

Soundtrack of this anime is sooo good and unique that i totally lost interest in all the other big anime coming up. I keep listening to Junk dog’s dialogues again and again.

I wouldn’t say the Trigun era. Feels more like the Champloo era in terms of animation.
That said this was a great start and the retro animation makes it even better.

This anime basically looks like Redline and Rocky had a child. That’s not a bad thing at all.
