The metal bat fight is one of the best fights in opm, the artwork is honestly insane. The composition and style is extremely well planned out. The only bad things in this fight is everything jc staff made. I hope that the one best fight (if u ask me); garou vs all the heores won’t turn out as bad. Because that fight really proves that it doesn’t have to be extremely powerful characters, more that it needs to be well planned out fight scene and lots of emotion, wich you can really feel in the manga.

I rather watch a shit being being poured out from a human body rather than watching this poorly animated opm season 2

The only reason I got ”Pumped up” during the fight cause I read the manga and I was remmembering how good it was like Good ol’ Fighting Spirit

They have 12episode for 10000000chapters so how to adapt without rushing? Should have gave it more episode and no fans will complain cause the plot are good

Anyone else also feel like the episode was extremely rushed compared to the manga , like i gave the episode a chance but it didn’t feel fleshed out at all in terms of pacing imo it felt like they super crunched it

Edit: i posted this before i watched the review and chibi literally said the same thing i was feeling

Waited 3 years for the second season. The underwhelming feeling watching these 5 episodes is so overwhelming. Maybe it would had been better to let the season end and watch it on a marathon instead of waiting for a week and restraining myself from punching my laptop after 23 minutes.

You perfectly summarized my feelings after I finished watching this episode. Having read the manga and the webcomic up past the Garou arc and knowing what’s going to happen, I felt on the edge of my seat while reading even for episodes like these where ‘nothing’ was happening amidst all the ‘somethings’. (Monster are popping up everywhere, hero’s are getting taken out left and right, a hero hunter is on the loose… and Saitama’s playing at martial arts.) I was legitimately hyped for the next issue. It was just an ever mounting amount of cliffhangers.
This EPISODE however… While it maintained the same cliffhangers, it just left me hanging over a ledge that was a foot off the ground. Before I was eager to see what’s going to happen because of what’s happened. Now I’m just waiting for something to happen.
I feel as though I’m slowly becoming an anime connoisseur what with watching One Punch Man alone. I’ve learned to look for both design quality (single frames) and animation quality (transition between frames). Rhino Wrestler’s intro is a good example of the extremes of design quality. In one frame he’s heavily detailed and looks imposing with heavy shading and a great ‘camera’ angle. In another his colors are flat, next to no shading that I can recall, and the camera is adding ten pounds making him look a little dumpy. Now, it would be one thing if they started him off in flats and then switched to shading to heighten the drama of him taking on the two heroes rescuing the hostages, and then switched back once they’ve been dispatched for comedic relief. But they do they opposite and end up slacking on the animation to boot.
Garou and Metal Bat’s fight is well designed, but poorly animated. Taking directly from the manga as you say but the action is composed mostly of a rapid fire cycling of still shots going ORA ORA and MUDA MUDA. JoJo can pull it off just fine, but I think they overused it for such a major battle especially when there wasn’t much else going on.

Can you please shut up? I’m genuinely enjoying this season. So please don’t ruin it for me by criticizing every fucking episode with some excuse. If you don’t like it leave already and stop making videos about OPM2

This is accurate yo, I don’t read the manga but this epi just felt bland and empty… really wanted to see more of metal bat and garou. I miss MadHouse so much ?

Chibi you dummy! Please don’t blame the sound director _either_ like jeez dude. And by now I would think you’d know that ‘ghosting’ is just dimming the fast-moving images for the sake of preventing seizures for the audience watching late at night in Japan. It’s something that’s left out of the Blu-rays…. I’m pretty sure you watch anime like hundreds upon hundreds of times more than I do. I am quite surprised that you apparently haven’t picked up on this. I’m not really even defending this average anime season but you’re just kinda spreading misinformation here, so

I couldn’t get your point. I think you should have made more clear examples of what you mean instead of talking about how you feel when looking at scenes.

OPM season 1 was a masterpiece. Season 2, while still not bad, is not nearly as good. I would suggest people watch season 1 then go watch Mob Psycho 100 instead since it is very similar.

Yeah, I also feel that this episode was rushed, it was like the production spent to much time on episode 3 and 4 and were told that thay can’t spend this long on each episode anymore and to speed up. I wonder if all future episodes will now feel rushed?

I was actually most angry about this anime episode skipping the part in the manga where Metal Bat hit the sewer cover back at Garou later in the fight showing that Metal Bat isn’t all muscle for brains.
