Personal Favorites
7: The Cat Returns – Cute, fun, reminds me a lot of the movies I watched all the time as a kid.
6: Castle in the Sky – My first Ghibli film, and holds up quite well next to a lot the 80s fantasy adventure flicks.
5: Spirited Away – I ADORE this movie, even if it’s not my absolute favorite, Ghibli’s biggest competition is themself.
4: Kiki’s Delivery Service – A very relatable story with a cute-as-heck protagonist.
3: Porco Rosso – One of the hardest sells of any of the Ghibli movies, but you’ll find it’s some of their most adult work.
2: Howl’s Moving Castle – I want to live in this movie.
1: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind – The Greatest Animated Movie Ever, with one of the best character in all of fiction.

An Mr Cooper likes anime too…well aren’t you just the layered little Onion :). Fun watch Mr Cooper now do search the globe for those good local couch co op….. but NEVER forget to do fun projects like this that allow us to learn more about Cooper…. Oscar Cooper. For me personally Nausicaa and Castle In The Sky are the best and can’t even be compared to the other ones (I do love the other ghibli movies too tho😂) So I’m happy you showed nausicaa some love👍🏼

Mate. You really are a man after my own heart. Ghibli kicks ass. Spirited away tops everything, shortly followed by Mononoke. Spirited away has sat comfortably in my top 10 films for a loooooong time now. Mind blowing media mate. They don’t make ’em like that over here.

Ghibli films are awesome. Hands down my favourite film is Spirited Away, closely followed by Grave of Fireflies. Tough to list them though really. Totally agree re watching subbed and not dubbed! 😀

I respect your opinion on the originals vs. their dubs, because, yeah, it always important to see an artist’s work unaltered…that being said, the English Dubs for the majority of the Ghibli films are some of the best dubs you’ll ever hear in the medium, and should not be overlooked.
