Saitama doesn’t get noticed because the Association and the people think he takes the credit from the other heros and they think he’s cheating, you’ll see in the next couple episodes

Yeah this episode was pretty infuriating. These people lost their homes and needed someone to put the blame on, but since the actual cause is an inanimate object it wouldn’t have served as a proper outlet for their anger. Saitama was right, blame the meteor. Some ppl are petty af

The author for Onepunch man, actually SUCKS at drawing. Try googling it, it’s not something you can call fine. So readers always hit the author with sharp words like “quit already” “give it up”. But he still
Kept drawing the manga, and one day, it got rewrited by someone good at drawing manga, and the popularity skyrocketed. Saitama in this episode being criticized by the citizens, seem like the author himself to me. He’s not writing the manga for admiration, he’s doing it because he wants to. And now he has succeeded so much. It’s a very touching moment thinking how the author thought when he was writing this scene.

Yes, OPM is a lot, lot smarter and deeper than what most people give it credit for.

It doesn’t matter that Saitama doesn’t think ahead about the meteor fragments. Worrying about them wastes time. He knew that doing *nothing* would mean the death of everyone in many cities. So shattering it and accepting the lesser damage is the only option anyway. I’m not saying that he was fully aware that it would shatter as he is impulsive, but I’m arguing that it would be pointless to bring it up. He saved lives, property can suck it. The point of the story is that anyone complaining about the damage clearly forgot they were going to DIE.

The way an impact works is that the individual pieces dont do as much damage as the full thing

I like to think of it simply. Just as Saitama says, he doesn’t do these things for admiration or even money. He just saves people, because he wants to.

It makes sense that he doesn’t gaf about the people and their hate. He’s so damn strong that it doesn’et even matter. You ever get so good at something you don’t mind throwing away games and just chilling? This is that

The "Don’t take it seriously it’s a comedy" thing is so far from the truth. It’s not all just for comedy’s sake, most of the show is serious. The further you go the more serious it gets too, mostly for saitama though it’s a comedy. But every other character is serious.

Silver fang it’s not joke, if saitama didn’t come silver fang want to try destroy the meteor with his ability the fist of flowing water crushing rock, silver fang explain that at OVA side story of one punch man if you not watching OVA later.

While a lot of characteres and situations in this show aren’t supposed to be taken seriously, OPM can be really deep in other aspects. Saitama is a unique character with a peculiar take on heroism that i personally love, and it’s great that you can see that complexity within something that looks simple at plain sight

The thing about the meteor is, if it had hit intact, the entire City Z and parts of neighboring cities were projected to be destroyed. After his attack, the tiny fragments did do significant damage, but the city was still standing afterwards.
