Im glad that this film is getting a lot of praise and positive reviews. We’ve reached that point were SAO has gone from overrated to overhated. And now that we have something from SAO that’s actually great, as well as the Mother’s Rosario arc (I love SAO too but I do admit that it has problems), I think it might put this anime back in a more positive light in the anime community, especially with season 3 coming out that is meant to adapt, apparently the best part of SAO. But of course, people will attack and hate this film regardless that really annoys me, but at least it might not be as bad since people are getting sick of the SAO hate now. One of my friends hates this anime to, but I still would recommend that he and other still at least give it a try without having a negative mindset.

The sound design is amazing, everytime a boss dies and the sound it makes is amazing everytime I hear it. The last bossfight was also fantastic, it looked amazing the sound was great, this movie is my favourite part of sao yet!

I enjoy SAO. This movie was awful. My experience was basically an hour and 20 minutes of me yelling at the screen over its lack of internal consistency. And you wave off complaints about the characters performing super human feats of agility in the real world as "missing the point of SAO as a whole", yet the the core series itself has shown multiple times how much more difficult, dangerous, and brutal it is for the characters when they fight in the real world. I don’t think its fair to brush off legitimate complaints that the movie betrays what the core series has established.

I think I kinda scratched my head at the boss fight or at the ruby palace section itself. As someone who played all the game of SAO i got frustrated that it was entierly different from the games. (The palace itself till the Boss room)

I hate this film Because of the potential it had that it didn’t use. why reki kawahara didn’t listen to any complaints he got baffles me. I just wish someone could rewrite sao and make it better.

From what I have seen I was not impressed in the slightest, sure there were a few nice moments of animation but that is ruined by Jesus-kun and his harem of idiots when taken into account. It is still a bad mentality that you are spreading here Dai, if no one sets standards or at the very least can comprehend the difference between what is mediocre to something that is horrible, then they won’t be able to recognize something that is truly outstanding. I’m not here to bash you or anyone else liking SAO, you can live in your little bubble thinking that SAO is still something great and praiseworthy. But do keep in mind that everyone has an opinion and nor should they be kept quiet because you disagree with their viewpoints. Something that I found to be off-putting from this review is that you rarely touched upon any negatives nor addressed it. I understand spoilers not wanting to be spread but you shouldn’t hide such information on something that important even if the "haters" are watching this video because if anyone was going to go in with an open mind knowingly or not the film is at the very least decent. But seeing that you are pandering towards a group of individuals that share a questionably strong affection to something like this, I am going to doubt the praises you’ve given this film if I dare watch it fully in one sitting.

I like how they made great combination of futuristic and the clothes worn in sao in the ordinal scale game.

This movie didn’t exactly exceed the bar for SAO as a whole, but I think it at least took its best elements and used them rather well. This movie is arguably a fan favorite, but it won’t change anything for haters.

The movie has tons of plotholes and weak elements in its story, some characters still receive little justice, but overall it’s just like the rest of SAO. It’s not exactly deep, but it’s entertaining above all else. I loved the music and animation, the final boss scene has to be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and for once antagonists actually have passable motivations, and best girl and the true hero of the story, BallsDeep69 has a notable contribution to plot progression.

As i am from the UK. Anime Films don’t last very long in British Cinemas. I had to watch this online 1st time and the 2nd time was on DVD on my Blu ray Player. This movie is good is my opinions.

    *Whats wrong with this*
that little head piece is definitely not capable of what it is in this.

The times where the writers forget this is reality and they still break the laws of physics.
like when the guy jumped off a 2+ story bridge to protect a hologram for whatever reason and did not get injured.

saying (insert character) was around during established events. doesn’t have any impact since they were not there when it happened!

how does the rating system work…that a person in the 110k + range can get to the top 10 in 2-3 days?
same with kirito who was not used to being seriously active a few days ago to becoming a pro athlete or higher.

all the tension this tries to build is wasted…all they have to do is take off those ear pieces…the things are just digital holograms that are not actually there…

The Ar is able to do what nerve gear can do…

the final boss of SAO clearly wasn’t designed to be defeated since they had to do all kinds of things they couldn’t do originally.

Asuna was suppose to have lost all her SAO memories other than when they got the house. yet she knows the mothers rosario skill?

what is with this digital kayaba…they say that he is just a program…but its more like he is a spirit since he knows far too much about the future…

the idea he could bring his dead daughter back by any method let along through AI

that his daughter did come back even tho it didn’t reach 10k

The movie ends with "SAO will return"

I mean it has its moments but then again its nothing new really
except now its aurmented reality instead of a virtual one
You gotta think after the previous 2 vr fiascos they’d be stricter with inspecting/testing/releasing such technology
Also how many crazy scientistws are there? they gonna use the same premise next time again for sure and its getting boring

biggest joke is the moment kirito points out the biggest flaw in AR but then it’s never talked about again

I really wanna like SAO more but a lot of the story and character development just seems childish
and my biggest beef with SAO is fucking YUI why couldnt they let her die. stupid AI calling them mama and papa all the time is damn creepy.

I´m sorry but I cant consider you a serious critic if you really think SAO is a good anime. I’m not a heater, I’m just a person who has an opinion based on facts and I do not hate SAO, I still think than it’s pretty entretaining (for some reason) but it has too many plot holes (the anime and the movie) and deus ex machina.

if you people, who are reading, whant to insult me because i don like sao i recomend you to watch the gigguk´s and mother´s basement´s SAO review first
