Sword Art Online Alicization Episode 12, the Sage of the Library is here and well… To make it very clear to Sony Music Entertainment Japan, I now do need to use the word “Review” for my content, because apparently, my concept was not clear enough to keep the copyright abuse away.
Anyways, we are finally done with the contents of Sword Art Online Volume 11, Alicization Turning, with Kirito and Eugeo managing to withstand Eldrie Synthesis 31 and run away from Deusolbert Synthesis 7 with the help of the Observer and Cardinal and take refuge inside the Great Library Room! Once Eugeo is away, Cardinal changes her tone to speak serious matters with Kirito. What was Underworld and what it became over more than 400 years of history and how Quinella, the Administrator, the Pontifex of the Axiom Church rose to power!

Time for Alicization Rising! Did the Cardinal System was the system of SAO? and if yes does she know exactly who is Kirito and has she met with Yui? Because if I remember correctly, SAO was using the Cardinal System and Ordinal Scale was using the Ordinal System. I tough it was weird that she didn’t remember Kirito especially since he was the one who defeated Kayaba. Thanks for making these episode review! I really like to know the cut scenes it give more sense to there actions and your video are really good!

Bro, this was another great video. You’ve managed to deliver great material even when shackled with copyright restrictions —that’s awesome! I remembered Kirito and Eugeo’s fight against Eldrie being much more complicated, strategic, and longer in the novel than in the anime, and your review just proved me right. On that note, I’ve gotta say I’m quite disappointed in the anime’s handling of this and the previous fights, and this worries me when I think of the upcoming battles (especially the fights involving _the_ bad guy, which had lots of monologues and narration, which don’t seem easy to translate to animation). Anyways, see you in two weeks, hope to finally watch your OS video, and Merry Christmas to you, my friend. Thanks for all your hard work. Stay cool!

So my question(s) is, when Cardinal tells Kirito that Quinella fused her fluctlight with the Cardinal system, why did Kirito appear to be shocked by that? What did that mean for Quinella?

Thank goodness ! A-1 actually did a wonderful choice for once ! Sure we had some cuts in the fight, but since the next episodes we’ll probably be action packed, it didn’t bother me that much. We also miss some details here and there but I could bear it. Anime can’t be as detailed and comprehensive as the LN.
The best Christmas Gift was the backstory of Quinella in the shape of a flash-back. Because Dear Lord it was painful in the book.
I have great respect for Kawahara’s work, but damn he sucks about writing exposition. It’s always (almost) people eating/drinking on a café/picnic/whatever-you-name-it and talking… just enumerate facts that we need to know in order to make the plot progress.
And so far the Anime thought it was a good idea to do the same. What a nightmare…
I know it’s sometime unavoidable to have those moments. But Kawahara used that process almost like it was the only way to do it.
The saddest part is that in the bottom, the story of Cardinal and Quinella is not bad. But in the form, even for a book, it was lazy
.
Hopefully this time A-1 didn’t disappoint and made the best thing to do. It’s not very often (it’s almost never), but for once I prefer the Anime version.
So yeah ! Just for that, it was a great episode !

I’m wondering about the girl in this episode (the one that has silver/ white hair. (The administrator). Wouldn’t she be aware that she’s An ai and that the underworld is virtual and the ppl at the underworld are test subjects. (I swear everything I’m saying is dumb and wrong but imma do it anyway)

Now I have something to say, I first thought that Eugeo couldn’t break any taboo because the system itself wouldn’t allow it. Thing is Rath wants their artificial fluctlights to break the taboos. And when Eugeo tries to break a taboo, in his right eye "SYSTEM ALERT CODE:871" appears, I thought the system was stopping him. But that doesn’t make sense, and it also wouldn’t make sense if it wasn’t the system. But now that Quinella is introduced it all makes sense.It was Quinella who made it so Eugeo couldn’t break the taboo index, not Rath. Right?
