   Yes, I will agree that they should have animated that 5 minutes Mirio gave hands to Overhaul while quirkless. Waited 1 year and 6 months just to get still shots…. I would have just read the manga (though I do) if I wanted still shots.

   They didnt animate the whole scene of mirio fighting w/o a quirk because he faught him for a full 5 mins before the other came to help.

   Think people forget that Mirio’s power gives him ridiculous speed when his body is rejected from objects when he turns it off, not sure how they’d think Eri could dodge a bullet in a short amount of time or even know when/where the guy would fire. Eri has 0 training while Mirio has been specifically given training to be more aware of his surroundings since he literally cannot see while using his powers and has to make very calculated decisions in a small window of time.

   Reaction was… so so… honestly I’ve learned more about how certain types of people react and have the same sets of vocabulary based on specific environments/groups. Also noticing how nearly every time there’s an emotional/deep moment someone just HAS to toss in a joke that kills the mood. This isn’t specifically this reaction but I’m noticing how common this happens with the less favorable reaction groups and only some select people in the groups are the ones to come for and should have their own channel or at the very least use those combination of people much less.

   Anyway, just an observation. I knew what to expect after the first few minutes and mostly came for the host’s and when possible with his brother’s reactions as they are the key people. I can say there’s a good comparison between this and the Beastars reactions on staying immersed with light humor.

    If y’all wanna watch a good reaction, go watch RT TV these guys are amazing, passionate about anime, pay attention to the plot and stay quiet in important parts most of the time. They have fun and crack jokes, laugh real quick and go back to paying attention.

    Idk why people are defending slides shows. The whole point of anime to manga is to add scenes so it’s coherent in an animated medium. Not being in the manga is not an argument for slide shows being interesting to look at. If you liked the slideshow great, but you would’ve liked it slightly animated too.

    Deku vs Todoroki, Deku practically flying over an ice wall, and Todoroki heating the air was not in the manga. If that was slide showed would it ruin the episode? Not really. Disappointing? Yes. Even the time passage argument for 5 minutes is weak cause animation would work too.

    Prior to this anime coming up, if you told me Gum/RR fight would be more hype than Mirio vs Chisaki, and his epic cape line I would’ve told you you’re out of your mind. Don’t straw man me I liked the episode, but I can’t help but be disappointed.

    I think us manga readers gotta realize it’s not all about us. We had expectations the Anime onlys who been seeing this for the first time are loving the episode. All this negativity gone really effect people when it doesn’t have to.

    Really disappointed with the quality of this fight. I’m gonna check out the manga chapters of this and compare. The pacing of this episode seems so rushed. My poor boy Mirio getting robbed, even Red Riot’s fights were given better quality. No hate hate on Red, I was happily surprised what this arc has done for his character, but I felt like there was a lot of build-up for this Mirio VS Overhaul fight. Also, doubt we get to see Mirio fight with his quirk like this again and this is what they give us lol 🙁 Midoriya budget too strong.

    Dang, i was so focused on their reaction to Toga and Twice correcting Overhaul about Big Sis Magne _(i enjoy that representation and seeing the thoughts of it from other people)_ that i didnt even notice the dislikes.

    Damn the MHA community is sensitive af like people are so up on their feelings over a reaction to a show and are just coming here to hate on these guys. The fact that their saving most of their budget for that "episode" is making all the other big moments in this arc suffer such as the lack of impact for the big gum vs rappa fight and the wasted potential with the decision to use stillshots for this episode.

    thats why mirio and midoriya are a like because they always smile to show the victim that everything is going to be okay and they have the determination and compassion to always stand on their feet. Also, mirio did the same thing when midoriya didn’t have his quirk in season 1 to save bakugo but still went even when he was quirkless because he wanted to save his friend. these two i love the most

    A lot of reactors complain about the “slideshow” but that part wasn’t even in the manga it just said they fought for awhile and showed Morio beatup. It probably took a couple months episodes to animate the fight and Chisaki breaking and resembling rocks had to take weeks to do alone.
