In the English Dub, Katsuki Bakugo a.k.a. Kacchan says "He’ll be fine as long as he dodges!" Before pulling the pin on his grenade arms. I think it better reflects, for English audiences at least, how he actually is the kind of person who, as you said, would *accidentally* kill someone by going too far. But it’s never really his intent to cross that line no matter how much he may talk the talk of victory and death.

Many viewers can’t understand why Bakugo was so angry when Izuku offered him his hand. Well, from his perspective, Izuku was weaker than him in every aspect. In Bakugo’s mind Izuku isn’t weak because he’s quirkless, he’s quirkless _because_ he’s weak. And this person offered him help, not only suggesting that Bakugo needed it – which he didn’t, so it was an insult on its own – but also implying Izuku has the power to help him, making Bakugo the weaker one. He simply can’t comprehend Izuku’s selfless kindness, and this lack of understanding results in fear, resentment and superiority complex.

    Great reaction as always 🙂
Don’t bother with Attack On Titan dub, it’s pretty bad. The MHA is a really good dub though.
At least, in my opinion, not everyone likes it but I have seen plenty of other comments to reactors of those annoyed so few of them do the dub and reactors annoyed at their watchers for not leaving them alone about it, so I’m certainly not alone in this opinion. (As for AOT, everyone pretty much agrees the dub sucks).

All throughout school I was bullied for being different, much like deku. I like bakugo because he has problems and I have problems. If I were deku I would have tried to kill bakugo. Seriously when people would bully me too much I would go red with anger. Like I’m crazy. Me and bakugo would not get along in real life.

But, I’m not deku and I like bakugo.

lOl it’s so funny how they keep saying bakugou is going to become a villain and yes, it does sort a seem like he might become a villain because he is a bully but basically, bakugou is just acting like this become he desperately wants to be a hero and above everyone.

it isn’t random how they refer to each other. one thing i like about the japanese language is that you can express how close you are to someone (in certain cases even your specific relation to someone) by just saying their name: do you call them by their last or first name and which suffix (san, kun, …) do you use or just leave those out.
in Bakugo’s case "Kacchan" is just a combination of a shortened version of his first name and the suffix chan that became his nickname (usually kun is used for males and chan for females, but as to my knowledge chan can be used for little children, too, so that’s most likely how Bakugo got his nickname)

This being a Japanese series surnames usually go first, and people usually call each other by their surnames, unless they’re family or very close friends; these are, I think, the names that have been mentioned so far:

    Name: *Izuku*
    Surname: *Midoriya*
Nickname: *Deku* (first used by Bakugo as an insult, later adopted by Deku himself when Uraraka misinterpreted it; it means something like _"good for nothing",_ but apparently it also sounds like _"you can do it",_ according to Uraraka)

    Name: *Katsuki*
    Suname: *Bakugo*
Nickname: *Kacchan* (used only by Deku, and somehow tolerated by Bakugo, although he’d probably obliterate anyone else who dared use it; it’s a contraction of his name and ~chan, a diminutive honorific suffix that shows that Deku considers Bakugo a close friend)

    Name: *Ochako*
    Surname: *Uraraka*

    Name: *Tenya*
Surname: *Iida* (that’s a capital _’i’,_ not a lowercase _’L’,_ by the way; sans serif fonts might arguably look better, but sometimes they might be lead to confusion…)

    Name: *Shota*
    Surname: *Aizawa*
    Codename: *Eraserhead*

Plus several heroes, like All Might, who’ve only been mentioned by codename.

Izuku wants to be the best hero, because he cares only about others, he’s always second (which can be his weakness), Bakugo wants to be the best hero so his worldview won’t get shattered, he only cares about himself (which is his weakness)

I didn’t see anyone mention this in the comments so I’ll say it. I really like how by the end of this exercise the “hero team” wins but Deku is completely tired out and broken by the end while Kacchan doesn’t even have a scratch. It kind of shows how Deku is so caring and doesn’t want to hurt/kill him with One for All if he doesn’t have to While Kacchan was being super malicious in this fight and just tearing him apart. To me it kind of paints the contrast between their strength as well as personality and how Deku understands sacrifice and is able to push himself.

Some people hate that they need help. I think the reason Bakugo hated Izuku trying to help him is because it meant Izuku thought he needed help. Bakugo, ever since he discovered his quirk, has been told he is the greatest person in any room he happens to be here. Then along comes Izuku, with no quirk (which Bakugo places great emphasis on), who thinks the Bakugo needs his help.

I know many people have already stated why bakugou saw izukus attempt at an insult so i wont cover that, but it may be good to pay special attention so the back story in the sense of what bakugou was saying during transitions e.g. "why cant you do it?" (Something along those lines) because it shows that bakugou himself did not understand his talent and thought he was the same as everyone else until, when his quirk manifested, his peers and teachers contunuously told him that he was amazing and basically ‘gassed’ him up which made him go "i am amazing".
Tldr his teachers and peers were to blame for his ego being so OTT.

The Bakugo/Midoryia dynamic is interesting. Bakugo is in many ways Midoryia’s polar opposite. He hates Midoryia because he sees a quality he admires in someone who he has been conditioned to see as lesser and it just does not fit his simplistic worldview. He himself may also have self esteem issues , feeling only valued for his quirk, which in essence is a random shallow trait , to him it must seem that it is all anyone ever sees.

Ka-chan is used to being told he is amazing and tough, seeing this weak quirkless kid (Izuku) go down to help him while showing concern triggered him. Due to his pride Bakugo felt the look on Izuku’s face was one of "pity" and he hates that as "pity is for the weak".

Can’t wait for the next episode reaction!!! Also, can you please also react to Shokugeki No Souma (Food Wars!) (One of my currently favorite anime! It’s amazing. You should definitely watch it!) and Steins;Gate (Steins;Gate is such a freaking masterpiece! I really hope you watch it! But if you do, I do like to say that it starts slow but you will never regret watching it if you finish it until the end! Also, it will make you cry so freaking hard as the story progresses in the anime!) Thank you so much for reacting to this fantastic show! Keep it up 😀
