It’s great. (Camera control is awkward because of the game itself but this is exacerbated by the Switch’s analogue sticks.) But other than that it’s great!

DQ9 on ds basically describes like 90% of my childhood xd. And after skipping most of the 3ds content (dont know why, probably had other things on my mind) im so happy to jump back in with dq11 now. I really missed the atmosphere and writing of the series its so charming. And its nice to see a franchise sticking to its core values.

ur not even halfway through this game when u did this review, are you? jade is the best character in this game and where is she in ur videos? and all the interesting story stuff happens at end of act 1 or act 2. u should have waited until u actually finished it until u reviewed it cuz u really can’t review an rpg without knowing the big bombshell story moments :-

I grew up with Dragon Quest, back when it was called ‘Dragon Warrior’ on the NES. Dragon Warrior 4 was one of the best games I ever played an the NES. Fantastic and huge. I’m really excited to catch up with the franchise, since that’s the last Dragon Quest game I played.

I’m the type of player that skips cutscenes in every game that I play I don’t care about storylines in games ever. I want to break some skulls and get some loot, that being said this has the best storyline of any video game I’ve ever played in my entire life the voice acting is amazing, the story is engaging and extremely well executed and the voice acting is phenomenal. This is as much a cinematic experience as it is a game. I couldn’t recommend it more on story alone.

It’s really not.. downloaded the demo and it’s the most pretentious, repetitive and boring game I’ve played. Bad music, embarrassing dialogue and a cut scene every 12 seconds.
