At first I thought that Asuna was disguised as the assistant, then I thought there was no way she’d be able to pass a facial recognition test, then I found out is really was her lol

You should talk, if even briefly, about the opening credits, there’s a lot shown in there and it seem that the credits have different scenes every episode.

Yui ruins the show for me. The show would be a lot better without her. She’s just a plot device for whenever the MCs need to do ANYTHING technology related and somehow no one knows about her. She can literally hack into anything, she can find and connect anything that’s connected to a network with no explanation whatsoever. I mean fucking Asuna infiltrated a SECRET GOVERNMENT FACILITY. That’s just BS.
Still gonna watch though.

After watching it all the comments on the episode were about people calling it a filler and not progressing the story since there’s no action. No appreciation for the little things…

I really don’t care about old cast of characters, new world is way more intresting so this episode was really meh for me. I found myself skipping big part of it and I hope there wasn’t major plot point there.

so, I’m normally not a anime only, but i couldn’t be bothered to read the SAO light-novels because its SAO why would I. anyway, when they arrived at the sea turtle facility via helicopter. i was like "huh a new girl whos american ok… wouldnt it be crazy if she was assuna but NO way they’d pull that on us. *5minutes later* WTF I CALLED IT"

Concerning doctoring the reference photo, we should also remember when this is happening: July 4-5, 2026, the sestercentenial of the United States, over a weekend, during the World Cup. It’s completely plausible that nobody notices the student profile being hacked, because they’d be shorthanded and only concerned with high-priority data.

Nah military installations that would even use facial recognition would have absolutely no clue if they were hacked properly and all these things were changed without prior suspicion of the person entering the facility or a significant amount of notice beforehand. They would see it as something normal especially since it was someone with technical expertise coming there and there would be no time to double check everything.

I just don’t get it. Why this whole kidnapping thing? All they had to do was tell his guardian that they have all medical equipment to take care of him and also it might be possible to get pull him out of coma with the technology that Kirito was helping develop. And everything would be fine. Asuna get’s to that sea turtle by normal means, as a family member visiting a patient.
I do not get why author decided to go with that drama kidnapping bullshit. I’m pretty sure we’ll still have laws against that in 2026. So why make a poor 007 plot with a rich villain on some sea lab contraption, when Asuna still get’s there by pulling some plot convenient hacking idiocy. It all makes no sense and is unnecessary. Looks like author still thinks like a little kid.

I don’t know about everyone else.I haven’t read the light novel and neither was I spoiled and for me it was really obvious that the blonde character was Asuna because of the build up for that scene. It didn’t really suprised me at all. Maybe it’s just me

I couldn’t tell the voice actress at all when Asuna was speaking in English, but I kind of guessed it was Asuna. Because of the sunglasses, and them deliberately not showing her face during face recognition… I knew it was an important character, and who would sneak in with Rinko? My immediate suspicion was Asuna.

There is only one thing that i didnt like and it was the upsence of the ambulance scene when Kirito is carried away and Asuna was there, horrified and observing how Kirito’s heart stops in her app, saying *You cant die, Kirito-kun. You promised me we would be together forever*

I just wanted to say you’re my favorite anime/manga reviewer! I honest to god have only enjoyed Gun Gale Online arc and now Alizication, i never liked any of the other arcs of SAO… but this one is so… man… so GOOD. I even feel tempted in reading the light novels but I think it will be a better pay off if I just wait for each episode haha.
