I don’t like Minecraft either but was surprised that I really enjoyed playing the demo. I can’t wait to pick up the game today. Great review BTW?

I still have the original Dragon Warrior game on the NES, I’m glad this franchise isn’t a Nintendo exclusive.

is no one going to talk about the hell that is chapter 4? the difficulty in this game ramps way the hell up after the first chapter, so this early review doesn’t say much for what you’re actually getting into with this game.

I’m enjoying it. The free building mode needs more music and camera options. I like the different looks of the villagers, and I’d like a custom character creator. Also, a lack of fetch quests from the villagers seems like a missed opportunity for the free building mode.

Nice review. Minecraft couldn’t hold my interest either, but I am absolutely loving this and am addicted already.

My only complaints (some of which you covered):
-Combat. A lock-on at the very least would have helped. A dodge/roll would have been nice.
-No way to back out of conversations or reading. You have to prompt through everything again, which sucks if somebody is standing too close close to the crafting table and you keep ‘talking’ instead of ‘building’.
    -No quest log? WTF?
-The ability to go into a birds-eye grid view to build would have been nice.

Keep up the great vids 🙂

Thank you everyone for checking out the review / first impressions. I am surprised I enjoyed a game like this as much as I did. Took a bit getting used to the controls and such but I think there is a lot of gamers out there who will really love this game plus its Dragon Quest 🙂

I have always loved loved the dragon quest games as we get so few of them here in the US. An still play regular minecraft off and on on PC to this day so this was a great game to hear of for my PS4. Thank you so much for taking the time to spot light this.

I have never played mine craft or dragon quest although I’ve considered dragon quest before I never really grabbed it but I have to say this game is gold, it is very hard (at least to me as someone who never has done a hardcore building game) but I’m enjoying the ride and the pay off I feel when I get something large done.

Been loving this game so far! Seems like a long storyline as well. I’ve been on the first chapter for like 7 hours so far.
